Praying without ceasing doesn't mean you're on your knees all day.
You don't talk to a close friend every second, but you stay connected. You can work, study, eat, and laugh, and your heart can still be turned toward God.
It just means prayer isn't something you do only when you need help. It's part of how you live with God every day.
Just thinking about this. If people can go to prison for lying to congress, then why can't we put members of Congress in prison for lying to the American people?
The tragic passing of Jim Copenhaver is now the second victim of the horrific assassination attempt on President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Our nation will not forget his perseverance and what he suffered.
We pray for his family and ask God to provide them comfort, strength, and peace during this very difficult time. https://t.co/6681lJybDd
Meet Satchel. He is the only employee here at Homewood Suites in Beaumont. The access road is underwater and I10 is shut down due to flooding. We can’t get in or go out. The hotel a mile from us is under water. Satchel has been here all night. His coworkers couldn’t make it to work so he stayed. He has manned the phones, answered each of our questions, ensured that we have had a hot cup of coffee or tea, and helped serve us a hot breakfast. He has handled this situation with grace, kindness, and a beautiful smile on his face.
Sometimes we ask ourselves why God allows things to happen but we are not designed to understand his ways. I do think that sometimes He allows things to happen so we can be His light and share the love of Christ with others. I have seen a big teddy bear of a man washing dishes and serving eggs, a little grandmother wiping down tables, and a man drenched from head to toe because he crossed i10 to deliver bottles of water to truck drivers who have been stranded on i10. We saw a helicopter land at the hotel adjacent to us where the parking lot is underwater. Someone had to be flown out. I’m looking at my table and see a leftover bagel from breakfast, my hot cup of tea, my cozy socks, and dry tennis shoes. I am thankful for each of these things and for the peace in knowing that my family is safe and sound. Please pray for us and that we can each make it home safely to each of our families.
If you know Satchel, tell him he is our hero! He gave me permission to share his picture. What an example of how to handle yourself in a crisis! Goodness gracious! I will stay here next time just knowing that despite whatever happens, I will have someone putting our needs above his own needs. Thank you Satchel for taking care of us here at Homewood in Beaumont. 😊
Why does doing good work in your community automatically mean you should run for office?
Every good coach doesn’t need to be a commissioner. Every mentor doesn’t need to be a mayor. Every community leader doesn’t need their name on a ballot.
Public office is one way to serve. It’s not the only way.
Sometimes we become so focused on who we can elect to fix our communities that we forget the responsibility we have to help fix them ourselves.
Vote. Hold leaders accountable. Work with them.
But then come home and do your part too.
The Senate will find 70 votes to send your money to Ukraine to be looted.
They can’t find 51 to pass election integrity laws here.
That’s not dysfunction.
That’s corruption.
LA Homeless Services Authority busted laundering over $75M in fraud through the homeless industrial Complex. This matches the amount of money they get from Federal taxpayers. This is what CA does with fed dollars. Leaders like Karen Bass just steal it. I told you, over and over...it's ALL fraud. How else do you double the spending just to get double the homeless zombies?
LAHSA delayed their homeless count (which revealed that homelessness had spiked up) until after I was pushed out of the election. Then the two candidates who funnel billions in tax dollars into these homeless services organizations were left to have their sham election, and keep the grift going. Nithya Raman and Karen Bass belong in Federal PMITA prison. They are destroying LA and stealing our money.

Bill Maher: “A little strip of land that was not part of the original Israel, but which they won in a war launched against them, but then gave back, as a peace gesture. Did they tell you that part on TikTok, kids? And the people who run Gaza, Hamas, who you celebrate as a liberation movement, but are really a terrorist mafia gang… only ever used it to stage attacks on Israel. I think McLemore spoke for all clueless celebrities when he said, ‘I know enough to know this is a genocide.’ Actually, you don't know sh*t. It's not.”
“It's not a genocide. It's a counterattack in a war. A war that's been waged on Israel since 1948, based on the ridiculous premise that Jews don't belong in the one place on Earth they are indigenous, and indisputably their ancestral homeland. Hey, geniuses, they're the Indians in this scenario.”
I lost my Dad on 9/11. I don’t get a lot of reach on here. But I just wanted to share a picture. He was 39. I thought he was old. I’m now in my mid 30s and I still feel like a kid.
He was a great trader. He loved markets. He loved to find a stock no one was talking about.
The first trade I ever placed was on his work computer, where he let me click the button to buy AMAT. I loved going to the office with him. It was electric.
He was the best dad. We spent hours out in the street after dinner where he’d throw “pop flys” for me to catch. Eye on the ball.
He loved watching Sponge Bob and eating cereal, wrestling with us in the living room. He just loved being around his kids so much, and we knew it. I’m so grateful I got a dad like that.
Love you, Pops.
I reread this every year.
I cry like a baby every year.
Todd Beamer died a father, husband, and hero.
Todd: Hello… Operator… listen to me. I can’t speak very loud. This is an emergency. I’m a passenger on a United flight to San Francisco. Our plane has been hijacked.
Lisa: I understand. Can they see you?
Todd: No. There are three that we know of. They have knives — razor knives, like box cutters. Someone announced from the cockpit there was a bomb. It sounded fake.
Lisa: Your name?Todd: Todd Beamer. United Flight 93.Todd: They killed one passenger in first class. They forced most of us back. Fourteen of us here. Five flight attendants. The guy with the bomb ordered us to sit on the floor.
Lisa: Are you okay?
Todd: We’re going down… wait. No. We’re leveling off. We changed directions. We’re flying east again.
Todd: A guy named Jeremy called his wife. She told him two planes hit the World Trade Center. Lisa, is that true?
Lisa: I have to tell you the truth. It’s very bad. Both towers are gone. A third plane hit the Pentagon. Our country is under attack. I’m afraid your plane may be part of their plan.
Todd: Oh God. Lisa, will you do something for me? Call my wife and my kids. Promise me you’ll call.
Lisa: I promise.
Todd: Our home number is… You have the same name as my wife. Lisa. We’ve been married ten years. She’s pregnant with our third child. Tell her I love her. I’ll always love her. We have two boys — David, he’s 3, and Andrew, he’s 1. Tell them their daddy loves them and he is so proud of them. The baby is due January 12th. I saw an ultrasound. We still don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy.
Lisa: I’ll tell them. I promise, Todd.(Lisa patches in the FBI.)
Agent: Todd, your plane is on a course for Washington. Best guess is the White House or the Capitol.
Todd: I understand. I’ll be back.
Todd: Everyone knows this isn’t a normal hijacking. We have decided we will not be pawns in their plot.
Lisa: What are you going to do?
Todd: Four of us are going to rush the one with the bomb. Then the cockpit. A stewardess is getting boiling water. We’ll take them out.
Todd: Would you pray with me?They pray the Lord’s Prayer. Then: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.
Todd: God help me. Jesus help me.Are you guys ready? Let’s Roll.
Looking at these three photos reminds me just how much life can change when you trust the path God has for you. In the first photo, I had just earned my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. At the time, I truly believed that was the direction my life was going. Then, lmI started mowing lawns for people who couldn’t do it themselves. What began as a simple act of kindness slowly became something much bigger. I realized that what fulfilled me most wasn’t sitting behind a computer, it was serving people, hearing their stories, and knowing that something as simple as cutting a lawn could make someone’s day a little easier. That realization led me back to school, where I earned my master’s degree in Social Work.
Today, the third photo represents where that unexpected journey has taken me, running an organization built around helping others and inspiring young people to serve their communities. In a way, both degrees still play a part in what I do. My computer science background helps with our websites, coding, technology, and everything happening behind the scenes, while social work connects directly to the people, families, and communities we serve. But neither degree could have taught me the lesson that this journey has: sometimes your purpose finds you in the place you least expect it.
As a kid, I hated mowing lawns. Now I wake up every day grateful for the opportunity to mow lawns for free for people in need. That still amazes me. So if your life doesn’t look exactly like the plan you had for yourself, don’t lose faith. You never know what God is preparing you for, what door He is about to open, or how something you once disliked could one day become part of your purpose. I thought I was choosing a career. God was leading me toward a calling.
President Trump,
Please sign an Executive Order that orders that US Postmaster to track how many mail-in ballots are stamped, “Return to Sender.”
This one action alone would go a long way to help mitigate election fraud.
🚨 BOOM! All the hospices are gone. Not a single hospice remains. No more luxury vehicles and no more of your dollars funding their fraudulent scheme. They were all frauds.
In this one location alone we saved America $30 million+.
END IT ALL.
On Monday I received a text from the United States Marines asking me if Peyton had interest in joining the Marines after high school next year.
I had a little laugh, a moment of sad, and then responded back and thanked him for reaching out. I thanked him for his service and explained that Peyton was a special needs child and would not qualify. He responded back and said no problem Ma’am, would Peyton like any stickers or a t-shirt from the Marines? I told him Peyton would be honored to wear a USMC t-shirt. He said he would make sure he got one.
I assumed he meant he would drop it in the mail. He did not, he hand delivered Peyton’s t-shirt to him today!
Meet Staff Sergeant Anthony Sandoval United States Marine! Thank you Sgt. Sandoval, you are a true Marine and we are grateful to have met you today!
