"Q1 is so big on cash burn, AMC can't deliver a good year yet. Q1 is just so so bad, so much cash burn."

You all know at that exact same time, I was telling you we would have full year positive cash flows and warning you that shorts were among you.

Well - now that we're landing near $3B on the quarter - I now believe we won't even need more quarters to shift the year positive. There is a real possibility Q2's FCF is so big, it already erases Q1's burn.

Ask Eeyore for his newest FUD about that (probably something something split or something something Apollo.)

Canada's condo bailout got rebranded.

First it was about absorbing vacant/distressed condos in B.C. After the blowback, the language shifted to rent-to-own and ownership pathways.

Cleaner politics. Same economic problem.

There is unsold condo inventory. Someone has to eat the loss. Rent-to-own just makes the bailout sound like help for renters instead of help for developers.

Ending the second quarter on a bang not a wimper, the Domestic Box Office will be up by around 20% versus the same weekend last year.

The quarter should end at $3 billion industrywide, perhaps a hare under or over, clearly the highest q2 industry numbers since 2019.

Cumulatively, January 1 to June 30, the Domestic Box Office will be up about $600 million year over year.

With a strong July ahead of us, that number will grow even more soon.
