"Forces minister Al Carns to miss key vote on Troubles prosecutions"

Today is the day. Now is the time.
Stand up against Hamas’s antisemitic lies.
Stand with your country’s Jewish communities.
Be brave. Make your voice heard. The silent majority cannot be silent any more.
All you need to know about the so-called UN report that accused Israel of genocide is that it was written by three ‘independent’ commissioners. The first is Miloon Kothari, a man condemned in 2022 for his blatant antisemitism by the UN Secretary General and every major Western Democratic Country. Even the head of UNHRC called him an antisemite which is akin to being labeled a Jew hater by Joseph Goebbels.
The second of the three ‘independent’ members is Chris Sidoti, a retired left wing Australian lawyer on the council of the Australian Centre for International Justice (ACIJ). They describe Israel as a “settler-colonial apartheid regime” and support the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. Like Kothari, he was condemned for his blatant antisemitism in 2023.
The third member of the ‘independent’ UNHRC commission that accused Israel of genocide is its Chair, Navi Pillay. A South African ANC activist she has in the past accused Israel of ‘Palestinian organ stealing’, ‘genocide’, ‘targeting children’ and, of course, being an “apartheid regime”.
Her commission, has over the years been labelled a "kangaroo court" by the U.S., UK, Germany, Australia, Italy, and others for its "open-ended mandate" and "disproportionate focus on Israel" amid other global humanitarian crises. Judge for yourself whether she’s independent. Her most recent statements include the following;
“On 7th October 2023 Israel launched its military offensive into Gaza”
“Israel’s military offensive in Gaza amounts to collective punishment, a war crime."
"The occupation is not temporary; it is a permanent regime of domination."
All three resigned in July 2025 in a move designed to avoid the US sanctioning them on account of the transparent weaponisation of the commission against Israel. Those resignations take effect in October which explains the timing of their self described ‘independent report’.
I have a message to the @UN , @ICRC , @amnesty , and @UN_Women YOU ALL FAILED THEM.
While Hamas took innocent Israeli hostages, subjected them to unimaginable horrors, and forced them into life-or-death situations, you chose to stand in support of their captors. You had every opportunity to step in, to act swiftly, and to demand the release of these hostages, yet you turned your back.
The @UN, which prides itself on “defending human rights”, failed to lift a finger when lives were on the line. The @ICRC , whose mission is to ensure the protection of individuals in conflict zones, turned a blind eye to the agony of those suffering in captivity. @amnesty and @UN_Women, you claim to advocate for the most vulnerable, yet when women, children, and the elderly were subjected to abduction, terror, and abuse, your response was weak and impotent.
Where was the outrage? Where was the call for action? Where was the condemnation? Your silence and complicity was deafening. You allowed Hamas to carry out atrocities with impunity, while Israeli families endured unimaginable pain. You failed to act, and in doing so, you failed humanity itself.
You had the resources, the means, and the global reach to pressure Hamas into releasing these hostages. Instead, you chose appeasement over human lives. You chose political convenience over justice.
The Israeli hostages are not just numbers or statistics, they are fathers, mothers, children, and siblings. They are human beings who were left to suffer at the hands of terrorists while the institutions that should have protected them did nothing.
The world will remember this. Your failure to act will be etched into history as a shameful chapter. The trust that was placed in you has been shattered, and your credibility is now in question. How many more innocent people must suffer before you realize that your inaction has consequences?
You failed them. You failed humanity. And you WILL be held accountable.
@HannahIamthest1 Was shown by the senior course how to pin them together to keep them tight. Discip staff soon realised and we were all made to wear them in our heads... because only hats have pins in them. Swinderby 91
The UK is drifting, unhappy, losing faith in previously respected institutions (like the police), buffeted by extremists (often allowed to run amok), dismayed by decline, angry at the inability of the political class to do anything about it, despairing that the Westminster politico/media bubble pursues an agenda, issues and priorities (look at the obsession with Lee Anderson) which are not most people’s — and had enough of being lectured to by a disconnected, de haut en bas chattering class. Yet we have a Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition incapable of speaking up for the moderate majority, who still have pride in their country and are desperate for strong leadership and guidance through the current morass — plus some hope/sign things will get better — all within the bounds of traditional British tolerance and fair play. This vacuum is dangerous.
Today the Hercules C130 bids farewell to many of the places it has operated in the UK and we celebrate the amazing service it has given over the past 50+ years it has been flown by the @RoyalAirForce. Thank you for your service. @HarvSmyth great photo!
"Niemietz sparked a Twitter storm earlier this year when he declared that the UK has “no reason to be grateful” for its National Health Service (NHS), describing its performance during the COVID-19 pandemic as “nothing special”."
