I guess Ferrari missed the memo from last year when everyone was mocking McLaren and how unfair they treated their drivers.
On the other hand, Leclerc knows this. So, he is too sentimental, he will pay the price being Alesi no 2, instead of a WDC...
His choice.
I don't know what to say for Leclerc, Ferrari and FIA.
ADUO for Mercedes is just crazy, but let's accept that they really have less power than Red Bull !!!
Lecrerc decided to extend his contract, I can feel sorry for him. This is Stockholm syndrome at it's finest.
As for SF...
🚨 | Arrivabene on Leclerc being pitted while Hamilton served his 5-second penalty:
“Looking at it from the outside and having done that job myself, the moment I saw this stuff here, I thought 'now Charles is going to get out of the car and throw the steering wheel away'.”
“He did well to keep his calm, then he made himself heard over the radio, but I would never have made a decision like that—it's just not done.”
"of the 4 brakes, 3 weren't working. in the front left worked well, the front right worked partially, and the two rear brakes didn't work at all.
when i say not at all, i mean that there was absolutely no deceleration on the data. it was as if the brake calipers weren't even engaging. That is a minor problem," Leclerc says cynically.
It's interesting that in Ferrari they choose to run one setup that favors one driver regardless if the other one cannot drive the car like this. I am sorry, but brakes are NOT a team decision ...
The solution is right in front of the FIA and the engine manufacturers. Still, they refuse to implement it. Spec front axle regeneration motor... So simple, yet so far away
@MarianoFroldi I have asked also in the past. When was the last time Ferrari had the most powerful and drivable engine, apart from the questionable 2019 one?
@FulvioVigilante Well, any other form of electrification cannot be "exciting". To get around 900-1000hp they need bigger engines, more fuel flow. Maybe a 2lt v6 turbo with 150-200hp extra from a battery is doable.
