So yeah, he was close in 2010 & 2012, but lost both. Proper car development woulda put both over the line. Ferrari shoulder much blame in that area too.

Alonso screwed up his career, and that's on him. His off-track pig-headed nature overwhelmed his on-track ability.

Being an ultra successful F1 driver requires the whole package. Hamilton has it, while Alonso doesn't.
