Why can't I find my back hip? Honestly, a question that gets asked too often.
First, answer is stop freaking out, it's ok. Go on with the rest of your motion.
If you can't do that. These are a few things that can help you over the long term. ⬇⬇️
This past year we incorporated @MotorPreference into our training for hitting, pitching, and strength & performance.
The outcome?
1) A shared language across the board — coach to coach, coach to athlete, and across multiple coaches working with the same athlete. Everyone moving in the same direction.
2) A deeper understanding of each athlete’s strengths — and more importantly, the limitations within those strengths. This allows us to develop without forcing athletes into positions that break down their movement.
3) Real excitement for what’s ahead — both for our athletes and our coaches’ development.
Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we break down how we’re using this game changer.

Relaunch of this account.
The purpose is to bring you the COACH and DEDICATED player information to grow from.
We are all learning from one another. Let's be interactive.
Starting off hot tomorrow with force plate data.
It’s vital you fuel right.
If you told someone what you eat day to day would they be able to guess your athletic goals?
With the start of school eating habits will change due to the schedule change.
Make sure your fuel is able to support your goals. @usaprimetc

There is a reason behind the process. At @Starters_Sports we focus on the process of development. Striving to get the athlete to be their best where it counts, IN GAME. The game doesn’t require PRs. Consistency and growth in game like actions is our focus. 🎋📈
Understanding.
Understand what you see.
Jump height for example:
Height won’t give you an understanding. For TRANSLATION there needs to be an understanding of what’s happening. #data#DataAnalytics
Thankful for @HawkinDynamics to not get into this trap.
@Starters_Sports
Discovery.
Strive to get your athletes to discover “lightbulb” moments themselves.
Tools to do so:
1) Force them to ask questions.
2) Talk less. Specially during the session.
3) Make sure your exercises/drills are set up to uncover these moments.
@Starters_Sports
Starting with the basics. Building a FOUNDATION for LONG TERM DEVELOPMENT. Direct and to the point. Excited for this group!
Do you have your basics covered? Reach out for an evaluation to find out.
@Starters_Sports
Consistency.
Is always shown.
Can also be inconsistency.
Has a huge impact on your development.
Are you going to be consistent or consistently inconsistent? Create habits that you can commit to day in and day out to get the most out of your development.
@Starters_Sports
Grit/Grind:
Gets thrown around often.
Often times isn’t explained.
Should be shown. Not said.
Grit/Grind is about working on you. No care of influences. Start craving your path. Decide and work with the ups and downs that comes with it.
@Starters_Sports
Teaching:
You’re never going be right.
Is a long term process.
Needs a vision of growth.
Has to have check points.
Teaching is not telling. There has to be acceptance and understanding. Look for it. And build off of that.
@Starters_Sports
Feel:
Feel isn’t real.
An athletes feel is more sensitive than a coaches eye or video.
Learning feel, is a skill.
Most athletes aren’t developed this way. A coaches ability to connect with the athletes feel will go further than any technique advise told.
@Starters_Sports
Failure:
Is going to happen.
Should be sought after.
Acknowledge it.
Conquer it.
Don’t miss this growth moment.
How you handle failure shows a lot. It’s hard to be positive and driven when it happens. Use body language and thoughts to guild the process.
@Starters_Sports
Athletes:
1) It’s your program. Take ownership. Even if means saying “I don’t want to do that.”
2) Decide your COMMITMENT level. Now or the future? It’s a process.
3) Enjoy the PROCESS. ⬆️ and ⬇️ will happen. Embrace them, and GROW.
4) Challenge your coach.
@Starters_Sports
You a coach?
1) Be a good listener (no one knows the current situation better than the athlete).
2) Be direct with your words. Challenge yourself to say less, and listen more.
3) Always develop your craft. Start with the athletes in front of you, not video.
