Kyle and I had a really challenging existence for many years. But we luckily took the time to figure out our differences and that was something he instigated with a conversation in his bus around how we each managed our racing teams. I was super eager for us to get on better terms. But it was he who made the effort for that to be possible. We did some media together also to laugh through some of the things we put each other through many years ago. Most recently we had even been discussing him running my Late Model at Wilkesboro this summer. He seemed extremely happy and we had planned to meet up next Thursday to get his seat to the shop. He laughed over the idea of his fans and JRM fans having to cheer in unison during that race.
Kyle was one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history. No one can deny that. But he was also a father, a husband, brother, son, and a friend to many. My heart is broken for the Busch family. I will never be able to make sense of this loss but I am thankful that we had found a way to become friends.
I think I’m gonna cry man. This is incomprehensible. He should be racing in 3 days. I can’t even think rn. RIP to one of the greatest to ever do it. Kyle Busch is a legend among legends.
@5KLNASCARFAN@THE_Duck_Man21 2017 Miami where he was clearly faster than either Truex or Busch and decided not to pass either. 2021 Dover where he has the best car but slips up slightly on one fking pit stop, loses the lead to the 48 and never gets it back. Both 2018 Bristol races, etc etc.
@EmilBorchert@Basso488 Funny thing is he literally did take his lane away going into 3 with 2 to go. Cut off Kyle's move to the bottom perfectly, but in the process he got loose. Idk if he clipped the apron or if his sudden turn broke him loose, but you can see him gathering his car up afterwards.
@5KLNASCARFAN@rjmanalytics Plate racing was usually mid as hell pre-2019 but I'd gladly take that package over todays. 13' Fall Dega is probably the worst of the duds, but we still got some gems like 14' Fall Dega or 16' Spring Dega. Atleast you didn't deploy a parachute the second you stepped outta line.
@KensethFan17_20 I know he got punted into the air to begin with, but its wild seeing a blowover when hes gotta be doing sub 160. Only ever seen the gen 7 try to fly going that slow
