Hey there, my ministry will be hosting these doctrine/power packed Gospel events for teens and pre teens in August .
If you're in the city of Maiduguri or know anyone there who has children aged 3-19. Please register them for camp or VBS even if they cannot afford the whole fee.
I get so giddy when I learn new stuff cause as a writer, we’re exposed to tons of new information everyday.
So you know when James Bond does his "The name’s Bond, James Bond" intro.
It’s a figure of speech, a figure of repetition or emphasis.
It’s called an epanalepsis.
On the evening of Friday November 29, the third day of my detention by the army at the 6 Div Port Harcourt, an officer reached out to the department holding me to say two lawyers were looking for me.
It was my third straight day without communication with the outside world, so I was unaware anyone would come calling. I hadn’t had any contact with any Port Harcourt lawyers. Therefore, I disowned them.
Hours later, when the army finally granted me access to my phone in what was the first inkling of my imminent freedom, I rang someone very briefly (won’t tell you who that was), then I rang my Lagos-based lawyer Abimbola Ojenike. Surprisingly, those two Port Harcourt lawyers were from him. Those lawyers had arrived at the 6 Div, which, by the way, is far from the city centre, before the army’s decision to set me free. For context, news of my arrest became public late morning; the lawyers were at the 6 Div early afternoon. With the benefit of hindsight, that could only have been Abimbola Ojenike.
If you do the kind of work that I do, you become friends with Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs). And to fight them off, you need, among others, a brilliant lawyer who understands your work, values it, is personally invested, is a warrior and, of the highest significance, is incorruptible. In Ojenike, I have all that and more.
When IBD Dende, who had sued me earlier in the year, for example, sought to withdraw the case in October, my instant feeling was ‘no way’. If you sue me, we cannot abandon it halfway; we must see it to the end. My lawyer needed no convincing; he thought exactly as I did.
Outside all that is the unquantifiable time he invests in the non-legal backend of my journalism, my safety and our work at @fijnigeria — the things unfit for public consumption.
A million and one individuals and organisations have supported my work this year, and for that they have my gratitude. But my Man of the Year is unrivalled: @abimbolaojenike, managing partner @SlingstoneLaw and co-founder @TheDestinyTrust.
Thank you, sir, for always ‘drinking panadol on my headache’!
Again guys, ALWAYS turn off the water heater before taking a shower.
These connections are man made, and you don’t even know how professional the electrician and plumber were.

Today, 44 years ago, I was born.
My name is Zariyi (YHWH has given us) and I am prepared to be spent for God and humanity.
Hallelujah, the LORD has been faithful to my life and all that pertain to it.
@ZariyiYusufu Happy Birthday Uncle Zariyi. You've overcome so much. Enjoy the new year with much more optimism and determination to change our narrative. Happy birthday chief.
We are grateful to God for sending his Son Jesus. This season we remember His love towards us, and also His sacrifice and intentionality to love.
May this season continue to remind us that love has no reason, love is pure, love is true and God is love.
Merry Christmas

If you're in IBADAN, My mother deals with wholesales of biscuits and other provisions. If you would love to patronise her, Her shop is located at Monatan, Iwo Road, Opposite Sao petrol station, Stable Complex Building.
I told her she'll sell everything off before the week ends🙏
Rhoda Jatau, a mother of 5 children, was arrested for condemning the brutal murder & burning of Deborah on WhatsApp by northern Muslims in May 2022, while the killers walk freely today. 💔
She spent 19 months in prison, & was only acquitted & set free last week.
Northern Muslims should have a country of their own. Animals are better than most of them.
Nigeria should just separate.
We live with animals
In 2022, Muslims in the North accused Rhoda Jatau of blasphemy in Northern Nigeria for sharing a video condemning the brutal lynching of Deborah Yakubu, who was also accused and killed for blasphemy.
Rhoda spent two years in prison before being fully acquitted and released this December 10th, 2024.
Her charges included blasphemy, cybercrime, and religious disturbance.
During this time, her neighborhood was burned by an Islamic mob enraged by her condemnation of Deborah’s murder.
A mother of five, Rhoda was often denied access to her family and legal support.
ADF International @Sean_ADFIntl took up her case, leading to her eventual freedom.
Remarkably, while in prison, Rhoda started a daily fellowship group, exemplifying her faith and resilience.
Today, Rhoda is free, a testament to the courage of Christians facing persecution in Northern Nigeria.
We continue to pray for strength and protection for others enduring similar trials.
A WIN for religious freedom in Nigeria!
Rhoda Jatau, a Christian, Nigerian, & mother of 5 has been fully acquitted of charges for “blasphemy” 🙏
We are thankful to God for Rhoda’s full acquittal & an end to the ordeal she has endured for far too long!
