An investing strategy we advocate for is dollar-cost averaging, for which you invest a certain sum (say $100) every month. Using equal weights for our performance should best reflect what you would have made this way.
@MrBuyside@emmetlsavage@MyWallStHQ 1. We compare our stocks against the S&P 500 because that's what most would consider as the "market". Many of our members would invest in an S&P 500 ETF if they weren't following our stocks, so we have to prove that we are beating this index.
