@jacob_posel This is the thesis of what we're building at @buildwithfork. Every user gets their own branch, so they can build their own features on top of the apps they already use.
Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
@kent_green Hey @kent_green we just launched Fork for Google Calendar.
Using a chrome extension and leading coding agents, you can build custom features on top of gcal.
You're seeing this across a few companies now: salesforce allowing admins to build react apps (https://t.co/db8gmjdQEZ)...
apple shipping a fully customizable photo app (https://t.co/A4a8klAsvo)
Do you ever see a world where users can build their own features on top of apps using coding agents?
@levie@levie how do you view the line between people who build software and people that use it?
If PMs can ship PRs, why not customer success? Why not end users?
@lennysan Shouldn't data science face similar pressure as design? Why spend 5 hrs on analysis when shipping an experiment takes the same amount of time?
The 5 hrs used to make sense, now it's a potential bottleneck.
