EV friends, does anyone know a study/survey that shows the proportion of EV source materials that people use to isolate EVs? I only found one (Gardiner et al, 2016), but it did not contain "tissue" as an option. Thanks!

@CatInScience About the cut-off diameter, I think it's because most studies are oriented towards smaller EVs (such as exosomes) as opposed to budding EVs. The majority if reviews set the size of exosomes between 50-200 nm, so 0.22 um is theoretically appropriate to exclude anything larger.
@CatInScience There is already doubts about 0.22 um filtration due to the possibility of EVs sticking to filters or to larger EVs being disintegrated into smaller vesicles by the force applied during filtration.
@drawbiomed@Ahmed_7amada83 He's right. Cell Signaling send a lot of free booklets/posters to students. I receive a bunch every year (if I remember to sign up for it).
@WHB_Masselink Depending on the complexity of your designs, you can adapt with any software. I've had nice enough things done on PowerPoint. Illustrator is usually my second go-to because I got used to how it works. Also consider BioRender for templates of common research jtems.
Our paper sharing the work I've done during my PhD characterizing cardiac tissue EVs. A challenging ride that was well worth the effort.

@AlkisSkout@MorgainePen1@Shaindy77 @AdamAhlgrim In most European countries I've seen, PhDs are paid more than minimum wage. It's not incredible, but definitely enough. If doctoral students take up some teaching at the university, they earn even more.
