Honoured to represent Pakistan, participate & speak at the United Nations conference on violence against children on Sept 19 2023 in New York, organized by the UN, Global Collaborative & the Republic of Sierra Leone. The conference commemorated Nov 18 as World Day Against Child Abuse & Violence. I represented Pakistan at this huge forum with leaders from all across the globe working in child rights’. A tribute was presented to the amazing survivors of child sexual abuse, including @NJLahori . I mentioned that my department CPWB @cpwbpunjab had rehabilitated more than 5000 survivors in last 5 years. Im grateful to the state of Pakistan for their support in this cause. It was a proud moment for Pakistan as global leaders are recognizing the amazing work being done in Pakistan for protection of children. My supporting local partners @SFJPK @SSDOPakistan

Benazir Bhutto in Sukkur jail (1980). Her cell had no electricity at night and without blankets or warm clothing, she suffered in the cold. She slept on a charpoy. She lost weight as she could not eat the watery soup, tea with bread she was given. Sometimes, the prison guards offered her pumpkin or fish. She led the movement for the restoration of democracy (MRD).. a grassroots movement. Ziaul Haq had to use helicopter gunships to fire on the protesting crowds to crush the MRD movement.

I think this political uncertainty since sep 21, Ultimately will lead to grand dialogue b/w politicians and est. Zardari saab has the capability and experience to constitutionalize this transition of Pakistan politics to people oriented from the contemporary power oriented "Game"
