That's the whole story in two images.
#Khamenei
The United States and Israel, in the early hours of 28 February 2026, began an endless series of unjustified and unprovoked attacks on #Iran using the most advanced and extremely dangerous missiles and fighter aircraft, in clear violation of the United Nations Charter. As a result, thousands of men, women, boys, and girls were martyred and injured. During these missile and aerial attacks, Iran’s Supreme Leader, the respected Ayatollah Khamenei, was also martyred along with his close companions, leaders, and family members. Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
The martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei is not only a tremendous loss for Iran and the Iranian people, but also a great loss of a valuable asset for the entire Muslim Ummah. Ayatollah Khamenei was not only a distinguished religious scholar but also the Supreme Leader of an independent and sovereign state, Iran. From 1989 until his martyrdom — a period of 37 years — he guided Iran and its people through the harshest circumstances, challenges, and forcibly imposed international sanctions in a manner that has no parallel anywhere in the world.
The world knows that just two days earlier, during negotiations between Iran and the United States mediated by Oman, Iran had agreed not only to refrain from developing nuclear weapons but also to limit uranium enrichment to only 3 percent. However, the United States and Israel blatantly violated this agreement and launched continuous attacks on Iran. These actions constitute a clear violation of international laws, regulations, and the @UN Charter, and such a heinous act also falls within the category of war crimes. Therefore, the United Nations must take notice of these unjustified attacks on Iran and take effective and strict action against the United States and Israel; otherwise, the existence of the United Nations will become completely meaningless.
I also appeal to peace-loving and democratic countries around the world to take effective notice of these unjustified attacks carried out by Israel and the United States against Iran.
I and every member of my party, the MQM, share equally in the grief of the people of Iran. I express my heartfelt sorrow over the martyrdom of innocent people, schoolgirls, and civilians in these attacks, and I pray that Almighty Allah grants Ayatollah Khamenei and all the martyrs the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and gives patience and strength to their families and to all the people of Iran. Ameen.

Statement of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Martyrdom of the Great Supreme of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei
Donald Trump is dragging the United States into a war the American people do not want. Let me be clear: I am opposed to a regime-change war in Iran, and our troops are being put in harm’s way for the sake of Trump’s war of choice.

Addressing the UN Secretary-General, the heads of human rights organizations present there, and other international human rights institutions around the world, he said that if these important personalities and institutions fail to immediately halt the aggressive actions of the United States and Israel, then the very existence of the United Nations and all human rights organizations would come into question.

In conclusion, he said that he fears the current aggression could push the world toward a Third World War.
China strongly condemns the US attacks on Iran and bombing of nuclear facilities under the safeguards of the IAEA. The actions of the US seriously violate the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and international law, and have exacerbated tensions in the Middle East.
China calls on the parties to the conflict, Israel in particular, to reach a ceasefire as soon as possible, ensure the safety of civilians, and start dialogue and negotiation. China stands ready to work with the international community to pool efforts together and uphold justice, and work for restoring peace and stability in the Middle East.
