@RogersHelps The call recording confirms Rogers acknowledged their representative failed to tell me I was entering a fixed-term contract. Yet their final resolution was only a 50% reduction in the cancellation fee. @Rogers@CCTS_CPRST@CTVToronto@CBCToronto@CP24
@RogersHelps Yes. I have the recording. Rogers confirmed it’s their responsibility to disclose a fixed-term contract and admitted their representative didn’t tell me. Will Rogers now waive the cancellation fee?

It has been longer because I wasn’t told I was entering a fixed-term contract. I only found out when I called to cancel. Had I known, I would have cancelled within the buyer’s remorse period.
@RogersHelps@Rogers@CCTS_CPRST
I received the email, but I had no reason to think I had entered a contract because I was never told I was agreeing to one. I only learned it was supposedly a contract when I called to cancel.
@RogersHelps@Rogers@CCTS_CPRST
Thanks for confirming that Rogers typically calls it a “2-year offer” rather than a “contract.” That is exactly what I was told on the call, and at no point was I informed I was agreeing to a binding fixed-term contract.
@SLICKBLOWFISH@Rogers Their customer service dont even mention you can get out by paying cancellation fees they told you can hold account for 7$ month for 6 month then pay whole monthly plan for rest of 2 year contract such a fraud company

@RogersHelps Is it Rogers’ policy that agents don’t need to say the words “2-year contract” on the sales call, as long as a confirmation email is sent afterward? Yes or no?
@RogersHelps Thanks for clarifying. So verbal disclosure is optional, and customers are expected to find out they’re in a contract by reading a confirmation email. That’s an interesting sales practice.
@RogersHelps Understood. So in the Rogers dictionary, ‘2-year offer’ automatically means ‘2-year contract’—even if nobody actually says the word ‘contract.’ Good to know.”
@RogersHelps When i said i even got 5 year offer on my phone does that mean if i get that thats a phone contract and when i argue that he says (you got a offer )means different on phone vs residential.
@RogersHelps Just talk to management guy (not customer service)
He say you were told 2 year offer on call and you didn’t i check email . I said lady told nothing about contract the guy said common sense what a 2 year offer means — words from you manager not expecting that from manager
@Rogers@SLICKBLOWFISH Hey @Rogers, thanks for the “discount” that apparently came with a surprise 2-year contract nobody clearly mentioned. Asked for a discount, not a hidden commitment. Now I move and can’t cancel. That’s not how informed consent works.
