پاکستان میں طاقتور اسٹیبلشمنٹ کے ساتھ مل کر اقتدار، میڈیا اور سوشل میڈیا کو کنٹرول کر کے “ہائی برڈ نظام” کو جدید سیاسی ماڈل کی شکل عمران خان کے دور میں ملی یہ عمران کی بائیس سال کی سیاسی سوچ کا حتمی نتیجہ تھا۔ اس سے پہلے یا کھلا مارشل لا ہوتا تھا یا وردی کے سائے میں کنٹرولڈ جمہوریت۔
لیکن مسئلہ یہ ہوا کہ عمران خان خود کو اس نظام کا پارٹنر نہیں بلکہ اصل طاقت سمجھنے لگے۔ ان کے مزاج میں پاور شیئرنگ، سیاسی لچک اور ادارہ جاتی حقیقتوں کو قبول کرنے کی صلاحیت کم تھی۔ وہ یہ سمجھ بیٹھے کہ مقبولیت ہی اصل طاقت ہے، جبکہ پاکستان میں طاقت کا ڈھانچہ ہمیشہ کہیں زیادہ پیچیدہ رہا ہے۔ اسی لیے وہ جلد ہی اپنے ہی لانے والوں کے لیے مسئلہ بن گئے۔
دوسری طرف شہباز شریف اقتدار کو نظریاتی جنگ نہیں بلکہ ایک مینجمنٹ ماڈل سمجھتے ہیں۔ نہ انا کا مسئلہ، نہ ون می�� شو کا شوق، نہ ہر ادارے پر ذاتی غلبے کی خواہش۔ اسی لیے وہ اس ہائی برڈ نظام میں زیادہ ��ابلِ قبول اور “فٹ” نظر آتے ہیں، اور غالب امکان یہی ہے کہ وہ اسی نظام کے اندر رہ کر زیادہ دیر تک اقتدار کا فائدہ اٹھائیں گے۔
عمران خان کا موجودہ نظام پر غصہ صرف سیاسی نہیں، ذاتی بھی ہے؛ کیونکہ جو ماڈل انہوں نے بہت محنت اور جدوجہد سے لایا ، آج وہی ان کے بغیر بھی چل رہا ہے اور شہباز شریف اس کا مزہ لے رہے ہیں ۔

On the same day, first the RSS’s senior leader, the number two in the organisation, and then a former Indian Army chief backed the idea of dialogue with Pakistan.

Notably, the RSS secretary general made the statement after recently returning from a visit to the US.

Interestingly, whenever any other group or individual in India talks about peace with Pakistan, the media there usually tears them apart. But the reaction to the RSS suggestion has been very muted.

While it is too early to say whether a dialogue process will start anytime soon, these statements at least suggest there is some realisation and thinking across the border that the current Indian approach is not tenable.

Nevertheless, any move that helps lower tensions between the two sides should be welcomed.
