I've been looking into taking advantage of mipmaps when ray tracing voxels to speed up traversal of empty spaces, but had trouble figuring it out on paper.
So I wrote a little simplified thing in #raylib instead.
Common sense will not help you accomplish great things. Inventing ways to avoid being hurt will not lead to love. He who "keeps his options open" will fall behind.
Instead you have to learn and cultivate desire.
You have to review all LLM code!
Codex 5.5 tried to push this awful hack to our Metal backend when it was coding font rendering. It decided to implement hacky "robust buffer access" style OOM check inside the shader and hacked our whole Metal binding architecture to add a special bind group slot 30 (hardcoded) to deliver sizes of all buffer bindings. This of course made the binding model super slow and required extra data for each buffer.
Heidegger said people will always talk about "the current thing," but never with a well-founded understanding.
His name for that was "idle talk."
It's the combination of "curiousity" (indifferently going from one current thing to the next) and "ambiguity" (groundless opining)
@EnleLien Very true! I think a lot of software products could benefit greatly from looking at video games. Responsiveness, satisfying audio visual feedback etc are really important in that domain.
@sighyam Fin and Min are not very accessible in Germany if you want to treat hair loss. Though it‘s easier now than it used to be I think.
Also, hopping on fin when you’re very young seems quite risky. I would bet it interferes with puberty.
Feels like the 'For you' tab has been trying to make me hate everyone and everything recently.
No I won't!
My hate is exclusively reserved for my opps who did me wrong.
@ForrestPKnight Very reasonable take imo. I didnt find AI to be very useful for me ~1 year ago. But recently I have been trying claude opus and it had proven to be quite useful.
