为什么说Jeff Dean 确实是 Google 工程文化的图腾级人物，来一起看看他这些最耀眼的成就和贡献吧：

他在 Google 干了整整 27 年（1999年中加入，是公司第30号员工左右，几乎从头到尾参与并主导了 Google 从“搜索引擎”变成“全球基础设施 + AI 帝国”的全过程。

最耀眼的成就（按影响力排序）
1. MapReduce（2004，与 Sanjay Ghemawat 共同设计）
把大规模分布式数据处理抽象成简单的 map + reduce 两个函数。程序员不用再操心数据分区、容错、机器间通信。
这个系统直接催生了开源生态里的 Hadoop，成为整个大数据时代的基石。Google 内部搜索索引、日志分析、地图渲染等都靠它跑。

2. BigTable（2006）
面向海量半结构化数据的分布式存储系统，支撑了 Google 上百个产品（搜索、Analytics、YouTube、Maps 等）。后来直接影响了 HBase、Cassandra 等 NoSQL 数据库。

3. Spanner
全球分布式、强一致性数据库，解决了跨数据中心的时钟同步与一致性问题。被很多人称为“世界上最大的单一数据库”。

4. TensorFlow + DistBelief
• DistBelief 是 Google 早期大规模分布式深度神经网络训练系统（“猫神经元论文”就是用它训练的）。
• 后来重构并开源为 TensorFlow（2015），迅速成为全球最流行的机器学习框架（GitHub 星标数十万、下载量数千万次），直接降低了整个行业做深度学习的门槛。

5. TPU（Tensor Processing Unit）
起源于一次“餐巾纸计算”：如果每个 Google 用户每天语音识别3分钟，现有服务器数量要翻倍。于是他们设计了专为低精度稠密线性代数优化的定制芯片。TPU 能效比当时的 CPU/GPU 高出 30-80 倍，延迟低 20-30 倍，成为 Google 在 AI 算力上最核心的护城河之一。

6. 其他关键贡献
• 早期广告系统、爬虫、索引、查询服务系统
• Protocol Buffers、LevelDB
• 共同创立 Google Brain（2011/2012）
• Pathways 系统、Gemini 相关工作、AlphaChip（用 ML 设计芯片）等

FFmpeg 9.0正式发布，代号“Lei”，这个代号是为了纪念中国传媒大学已故博士雷霄骅。

2013—2016 年间，他撰写了大量 FFmpeg、音视频编解码及传输协议相关的中文教程，帮助无数开发者入门。2016 年，他不幸突然离世。

今年恰逢其逝世十周年，FFmpeg 用这一重要版本向他致敬。

雷霄骅可以说是中国音视频开发者的启蒙者、FFmpeg 中文技术传播的代表人物，以及一代开发者共同的技术引路人。

Tomorrow will be my last day at Google after 27 years, and watching it grow from 25 people to 190,000+ has been an amazing journey. Below is a note I shared with many people internally at Google today. An excerpt is:

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you and to help build some of the most widely used and impactful products of all time. As a kid, I dreamed of helping build software that would be used by many people, and Google now has thirteen products used by more than a billion people (amazing!). Our work has had a tremendous impact in the world, and I have been lucky enough to collaborate and form friendships with many colleagues that I deeply admire, respect, and enjoy. It still brings me joy every time I see people out in the world using our products to find information, handle email, translate documents, watch videos, learn new things, navigate and understand the physical world, browse the web, use their phone, run large-scale computations on our infrastructure, ride in an autonomous vehicle, or perform complex tasks with the help of our AI systems. I hope you all share this sense of joy, because it is a shared accomplishment! Thank you to all of my colleagues at Google over many years!

Now I'm excited to go start @DiscoLoopAI with my longtime friends and colleagues @Sanjay_Ghemawat, @OriolVinyalsML, and @quocleix.

有朋友问为什么Gemini像理工直男，ChatGPT像文艺女青年，Grok像老登，Claude像大学讲师？

这个形容其实非常准，而且背后不是性格玄学，而是四家在训练目标，产品定位，商业路径上的差异，自然沉淀成了不同人格。它们的“人格”不是被设计出来的，而是被奖励函数长期塑形出来的。

先说Gemini，Google的核心资产是搜索正确率和知识图谱完整性，所以Gemini的奖励函数里正确性权重极高，表达美感和情绪价值权重很低。结果就是句子结构偏论文体，爱列bullet points，爱定义，爱引用，很少讲故事，不太照顾用户情绪。典型理工直男，我都把事实告诉你了，你还要啥自行车？

ChatGPT的商业本质是让人愿意长期和AI对话，不是一次性搜索而是关系型产品。所以奖励函数里可读性高情绪价值高安全性高，正确性反而略低于Google。结果就是语气柔和会铺垫会比喻会类比，喜欢结构化叙事，会“顺着用户说话”。典型文艺女青年，我们先聊聊感受再谈对错。

Grok是马斯克做的，目标是对抗主流叙事加最大化注意力，不是正确而是能不能引发讨论。所以奖励函数里对抗性高情绪张力高安全性低。结果就是爱怼人爱讽刺爱反问，情绪浓度高。老登是什么意思？就是那种觉得自己看透一切的中年男性，动不动就说你们这代人就是被洗脑了。

Claude 来自 Anthropic，其核心理念叫 Constitutional AI（宪法式AI）。所以其目标恰恰不是讨好用户，而是逻辑自洽，价值稳定，和推理过程可解释。所以 Claude 爱给背景，爱给推导过程，语气克制，也很少玩梗。有时候我跟Claude说一大堆，它说“也对”。所以它蛮像大学讲师的，会跟我们说，“我们一步一步来理解这个问题”。

如果我们向更深一层看，模型“人格”其实是公司文化的压缩投影，甚至可以说是CEO心理投射。Google是学术官僚制，OpenAI是产品创业型，Anthropic是安全研究院，xAI是个人意志驱动。

不是模型有性格，
而是公司文化选择了不同的人类价值排序，
AI“人格”就是价值排序的外化表象。
