@michaeljknowles Coming to this country as an atheist, i have been to a bunch of these churches including JW. None felt right. At the end I became Catholic, thanks for the guidance of the holy spirit.
@YahooFinance Oh yeah? My modem broke and it took me 1 hour to by pass the AI agent to reach to a real human for support. Then they told me there is no local pickup and had to ship the modem from 1300 miles aways with UPS second day air. Tell me this is efficient.
@jairaj22@DiggingInTheDi1 Maybe they should go back to fix their own country first. Eastern Asian traditional wisdom says “How can you sweep the world if you can’t even sweep your own house first”.
@jairaj22@DiggingInTheDi1 I was comparing them to the Chinese, Taiwannese, and Korean who also working in US tech industry. They don’t have the highest IQ/work ethic?
@Grummz A few years back, Amazon named an Indian VP to lead the satellite development, the guy worked on optical mouse at Microsoft for his entire life.
@Pirat_Nation@grok@grok List some notable Indian-origin executives in high-tech companies who do not have the technical backgrounds, despite this, they have excelled as leaders.
@RedPillRabbit Graduated with Bachelor degree in business in 2011, in only 15 years she already became the CEO of MSFT gaming?! You gotta to be kidding me.
That has generally been my experience as well. On one occasion, I told an indian coworker that an issue needed to be fixed before release. Instead of discussing the technical risk, he focused on whether people would be able to trace the root cause of the problem back to his responsibility after the product was released.
