Oman does not make noise. It makes moves-quietly, patiently, and only when it matters.
When Muscat’s foreign minister, the man who was literally in the room mediating between Washington and Tehran, writes in The Economist that the US has lost control of its own foreign policy, that is not commentary. That is testimony.
Oman has earned the right to speak. Decades of silent diplomacy, trusted by adversaries on all sides. That’s not something small. They don’t grandstand.
