@BeaneaterB Not sold on Fuentes until he develops a true third pitch when facing a lineup two and three times over. Hes lights out in 1-2 inning stint.
@scottcoleman55 I love him in the role he’s in right now. I don’t know that he has the same success as a starter until he has a third pitch that he can weave in consistently.
@braves_today It’s not that different of a risk as what we did with Sale - just more expensive in terms of $’s and commitment. If Texas sends cash, I’d be very comfortable having sale and degrom front a playoff rotation.
@CasualBravesFan If we’ve learned one thing about AA, he doesn’t think or act with his heart. Painful for the fan, but as it’s playing out with the decline we are seeing this year with Freddie and the terrible offensive start for Dansby, it’s usually the right move. Will see with Fried.
@baldheaded1der I don’t think Weiss will hesitate to adjust. He seems a little more decisive. Bummer and Payamps as an example. Not the same kind of money but still - ~$10M in salary between the two. Good news is that we are deep enough to have viable options at short.
@cwellcards@Braves@ronaldacunajr24 Don’t think 10 years ages well with his history and with speed being such a big part of his game. Afraid he’s becoming the NL version of Buxton. Tremendous talent that can’t stay healthy.
@braves_today Great article! Especially enjoyed the breakdown of Lopez. Will be interesting to see how Spencer, AJ and Hurston fit into this mix during the second half.
@ChoppinBravos I still think he goes on a run this year but do you not have to think about a Soto type trade? You could really plug in some holes for now and the future.
@Glockzilla72@HawkEmDownChris I’m not dinging Morris. He was awesome in big games. I’m saying he’s nowhere close to top 20 of all time. Statistically, he’s just not. By the way, checkout the career post season ERA’s and let me know who was better between Smoltz and and Morris.
@Glockzilla72@HawkEmDownChris I could support Clemente. But Morris had a 3.90 career era and less than 45 WAR. I’d put Smoltz over him. Brett was great but not top 20 all time - Chipper was better. Berra, Carlton and Rivera would be in my top 50. Kirby wouldn’t be in my top 100.
