Republican council candidate Scott Honer says he was out at the polls all day and saw a big turnout. Said he's not making any guesses on results until the final votes are counted.
Out covering Election parties in Orchard Park tonight. The local Dems are meeting here at the Byrd House on N Buffalo. Town Supervisor Candidate Dan Teplesky says he's excited to see results come in. "It's just like Christmas," he said.
Here at the Chestnut Ridge Park Casino, voter turnout has been "brisk" and voters are "enthusiastic," poll worker Mike Nunn tells me. One of the busiest non-presidential local elections he's worked in 10 years, he said.

“It’s been pretty encouraging with the steady stream of people coming in and out,” he said. “It’s nice to see.”
Foot traffic picking up here at Nativity as we approach noon. I'm hearing from voters who want candidates who support the Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail and others who oppose local marijuana dispensaries. But most say they came out to vote because they see it as their civic duty.
