Trigger warning: school shootings
All of this reminds me why I always leave my home with I love yous because I never know if it's my last day. I know it sounds dramatic, but school shootings are so commonplace and my school has had a lockdown because of a threat of a shooter.

Well, I wasn't wrong about this being the last time I apply to grad school. I got accepted to a grad program to get my PhD and I will start in the fall.
This is me right now with graduate school. It's not the first time that I have applied, but I think this might be the last time I do for this type of program. The constant rejection is dejecting. It's probably time for me to move on with my life and start a new adventure.

I've worked in a Utah school for five years
and one of the things that broke me my first year of teaching was watching students casually drop that slur and nothing being done about it.
Dear Utah entrepreneurs: If you’re going to start yet another cookie business, please make them:
A) actually good
B) fully baked
C) normal sized
D) with a reasonable (lower) frosting:cookie ratio.
