STUDENTS UNION DECLARES PEACEFUL PROTEST OVER PROLONGED INDUSTRIAL STRIKE, DEMANDS IMMEDIATE ACTION FROM GOVERNOR LUCKY ORIMISAN AIYEDATIWA
AKURE, ONDO STATE.

The Students Union hereby issues an urgent call to action regarding the ongoing industrial strike action crippling higher education across the state and nation. The continuous disruption of our academic calendar has pushed Nigerian students to the brink, depriving us of our fundamental right to quality and timely education.

We can no longer remain silent while our futures are held hostage by unresolved labor disputes.

Consequently, we demand immediate intervention and resolution from the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and relevant governmental authorities.

To end this deadlock and restore normalcy to our campuses, we present the following non-negotiable demands:

#Immediate Implementation of the FGN-ASUU Agreement 2025
#Payment of All Outstanding Arrears from January
#Adequate Funding of the University System
#Immediate Release of Capital Grants for Infrastructure Development
#Payment of Outstanding ASUU & NASU Salaries

UNTIL THESE DEMANDS ARE MET, WE WILL BE ON THE STREETS.

Education is a right, not a privilege. We demand swift action, accountability, and the immediate reopening of our institutions.

If these key issues are not addressed promptly, students will mobilize massively for a sustained, peaceful protest across the state.

We demand action. We demand our right to education. We will not be silent.
