The Montreal Victoire have won this year’s PWHL championship trophy, the Walter Cup.

They outscored the Ottawa Charge 4-0 in game four of a five-game series. This is Montreal’s first Walter Cup win after losing in the semifinals the previous two years.

The PWHL has announced an expansion team in San Jose, California.

San Jose is the fourth of the new franchises that will expand the league to 12 teams for the 2026-27 season. The team will join the NHL’s Sharks and the minor league affiliate Barracuda in San Jose.
