@haveanicedavid@superdoteng i saw you added that. Good feature, but would rather just mash the commit button once instead of generating then commiting. gotta go go go
@superdoteng move git actions to the top with other actions, add commit only. show all git actions, but disable ones that aren't available. for non git actions (show the last one used) and expand it so you can see the title (not just a icon)
I'm a software engineer with 50 years of experience. If you know how to steer an LLM properly, the frontier models are extremely good at generating code. They're weak at architecture, which is one of several reasons you want a human in the loop, but they can have a very low error rate compared to most humans.
When they don't - when they generate slop - it's because you didn't know how to use the tool correctly.
VS code has an incredible opportunity to seize the ADE market before Codex, Claude and all the other rando builders get settled. There needs to be a neovim approach to this, but not in the terminal.
@addyosmani@googlechrome Thanks for this, its a step in the right direction. I imagine its on your roadmap, but the ability to pin a url to that tab would be game changing, ie you can change urls after clicking the tab, but ctrl+click or cmd+click or full exit/restart restores the pinned url
