This evening, the president posted this, literally presenting himself as Jesus. He’s not doing anything to stave off the anti-Christ allegations. If any Democrat president did this, Evangelical Christians would implode. But will they speak out against this? I highly doubt it.
I'm a journalist and attorney, not an activist, so I've no answers on what Americans should do right now.
I only know this: Donald Trump is attempting to incite a civil war so he can cancel all future elections, and he will keep executing citizens until that outcome is achieved.
Donald Trump will spend Christmas Eve with his billionaire friends at Mar-a-Lago on the taxpayers' dime.
Barack Obama spent his Christmas Eve as President surprising kids at a children's hospital. Don't forget what real leadership looks like.
"What I really want to do is take the state of the art right now and see how far that actually gets us toward solving real problems" says @UCSDHealth Chief AI Officer Dr. Karandeep Singh in this terrific interview with Fred Bazzoli in @HDMmagazine (1/2)
@DrAlrahmani @epawshipaa As one of my sources said burnout will get worse until a way is found to relieve “the energy draining, soul sucking work.” https://t.co/clu8JQo6GS
@DrAlrahmani @epawshipaa Much of the problem is care often gets refocused on getting reimbursed and not completely focused on getting patients better, which is the heartbeat of most clinicians: https://t.co/UZp7Gg9l0P
@ColtonOrtolf It's an interesting prediction but challenging because of historical conservatism of healthcare organizations in making change, especially in undoing sunk costs and effort in existing #EHR systems. 1/4
@ColtonOrtolf@Oracle might have pieces in place to be a platform, but soon after Cerner acquisition, it was clear @Oraclehealth has much to learn. Historically true of any company morphing into health. 2/4 https://t.co/d6URMNfS8R
@ColtonOrtolf There are 2 major hospital #EHR vendors, Epic and @OracleHealth but that’s only two-thirds of the hospital market. A lot of fragmentation, particularly in ambulatory and specialty markets. https://t.co/9blOSBW1IZ
@ColtonOrtolf Interop technologies like @HL7#FHIR hold promise. But many questions; Will be there transition costs? Who will benefit from savings/efficiencies? Will it + or – complexity? How exactly show Quadruple Aim benefits? 4/4
This thread goes beyond just the notion that clinicians are "burning out" because of burden. Healthcare has a moral imperative to change this vicious cycle to save and support its caregivers, not turn away from it.
Burnout maybe can be repaired & reversed over time. This cannot.
The suicide rate among physicians is the highest among any profession, and more than double that of the general population.
Nearly every doctor graduates from residency with some degree of PTSD, and no one wants to talk about it.
