CHINA IS SPEAKING UP. AGAIN. 🇨🇳🐾

This may be the most important part of the Wang Wang movement:

Chinese people continue to demand change too.

During Mid-Autumn Festival livestreams, Chinese animal advocates flooded comment sections with messages for Wang Wang, CowCat and stronger protection against animal cruelty.

When comments weren’t available on one livestream, people reportedly went looking for other official livestreams where they could speak.

And this isn’t the first time.

During the Qixi Festival in August, Chinese netizens similarly filled livestream comments with messages for Wang Wang.

Other forms of advocacy have appeared across China too.

One research project documented Wang Wang-related actions across 31 provinces, including public projections and campaigns calling to stop animal abuse and support animal-protection legislation. I’ve posted about demonstrations in various cities.

That matters.

This movement was never about the world attacking China.

It is Chinese citizens and animal lovers around the world asking for the same basic thing:

Protect animals from extreme cruelty. Give people lawful ways to respond. And turn the tragedy of Wang Wang and her puppies into lasting change.

From inside China to demonstrations around the world, the message keeps getting harder to ignore.

China is speaking up. We should listen. 🐾❤️
