In this large, propensity-matched cohort of TAVI patients, only invasively measured postprocedural aortic gradients—not echocardiography-derived gradients—were independently associated with 30-day, 1- and 2-year mortality. These results suggest that invasive assessment may provide superior prognostic information compared to echo-derived gradients following TAVI.
