@Reuters It’s like asking a former Hillary and Biden campaign member about Trump. This is so unprofessional that it’s hard to believe it was an innocent mistake or even a result of political bias. You’re assuming your readers are dumb, which makes it even worse.
Mehdi Taj — a former IRGC member and allegedly the former intelligence commander of the Isfahan branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps — is confirmed to be en route to Canada with a visa issued and may arrive at any moment.
He is entering Canada under the title of head of the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
There are serious concerns, however, that his IRGC affiliations were not disclosed in the visa process.
Members of a terrorist organization are inadmissible under s.34(1)(f) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Failure to disclose such affiliations constitutes misrepresentation under s.40 IRPA.
His visa MUST BE CANCELLED immediately — and if too late, enforcement must occur at the port of entry.
We call on the Canada Border Services Agency @CanBorder, the Minister of Public Safety (@gary_srp), the Minister of Immigration (@LenaMetlegeDiab), and the Minister of Foreign Affairs (@AnitaAnandMP) to take immediate action.

Breaking: The second pilot of the U.S. F-15 crash in Iran has been rescued.
While it took longer, he’s now safe.
Iranian civilians on the ground reportedly formed barriers to stop IRGC from getting to him.

Dear Members of Toronto City Council,
As you gather before the session, I ask you to consider the moral imperative behind Councillor Cheng’s Motion MM39.43 to raise the Lion and Sun flag. Some councillors have voiced concerns about geopolitics or raising other nations’ flags. I want to respectfully address these. This is not about geopolitics or being pro- or anti-war; it’s about recognizing the pain of the Iranian people, who have suffered the largest massacre in their recent history—one of the largest since the Holocaust. Many in Iran are now under digital blackout—unable to be heard—while families desperately need signs of solidarity.
Toronto is home to the largest Iranian community outside Iran and witnessed the largest, most peaceful demonstration in its history on February 14—deemed exemplary by Toronto police. There was no incident—only peace and solidarity. The Lion and Sun flag was carried by all to symbolize support for freedom. Recognizing this symbol is how we remember those lost and alleviate the pain of families who feel unseen. When Toronto raises this symbol, even briefly, it shows that we stand for inclusion and dignity. I urge you to vote unanimously so that our community knows they are seen and not forgotten. Thank you.

@Realneo101@NaamIrani Sepahr’s dad has been arrested. Where are you all? Didn’t we promise that if the internet got cut off, we’d be the voice of people inside? Nothing has gone back to normal. in fact, it’s even worse.
people desperately need our voices.

Iran is not the Islamic Republic.
Iran’s civilian infrastructure belongs to the Iranian people and to the future of a free Iran. The Islamic Republic’s infrastructure is the machinery of repression and terror used to keep that future from becoming reality.
Iran must be protected. The regime must be dismantled.
I ask President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu to continue targeting the regime and its apparatus of repression, while sparing the civilian infrastructure Iranians will need to rebuild our country.
With the support of the US and Israel, and above all the sacrifice of Iranian patriots, the hour of Iran’s freedom is at hand.
Long live Iran!
