Today I asked God to show Himself, and a kookaburra landed beside me. He didn’t just stop for a second and fly away. He stayed. He looked at me, tilted his head, and then began to sing. There I was, standing in the middle of an ordinary day, listening to a wild bird pour its voice into the world as though it had come with a message. I can’t explain why the moment felt so profound, but it did. It felt like an invitation to be fully present. To notice. To remember. Out of all the trees, all the fences, all the places he could have been, he chose that moment and that place. And as he sang, I felt something I struggle to put into word…
a deep gratitude for being alive, for the beauty that still exists in this world, and for the quiet ways God reaches us when we’re paying attention.
The kookaburra is not just a bird. He was a reminder. A reminder that life is speaking to us all the time. That wonder is never far away. That God is woven through creation, through song, through silence, through moments so ordinary we almost miss them. I stood there listening, and for a brief moment everything felt sacred.

Everyone remembers the red sandalwood smuggling in Pushpa. Few know the same forests are also at the center of a thriving underground trade in something far less obvious—something that ends up in your summer drink.
A thread.

Last week at CoPF, we firmly rejected a proposal that would allow telecom companies to avoid paying the Telecommunications Levy on unpaid customer bills.
Telecom operators are tax collectors for the State. They cannot shift their commercial risks and bad debts onto the public.
No proper verification system exists for these “unpaid bills,” risking major revenue leakage. We have directed them to return with a revised, transparent proposal.
Public revenue must be protected. Fairness first.
