@wu2ke4@Dropbox Sorry to hear. They vanished with my stuff too — luckily I found a Time Machine backup in an HD recently and rescued it all. It seems Google is also doing that. Your account got considered in violation of their TOS. You can try to get help from your local authorities. Good luck!

A big tech giant is shutting accounts down under accusations of violating TOS, giving zero chance for them to prove their innocence. They are the violators of their own TOS and of any good sense. It's too hard to coordinate such a thing tho. I wish I could go back in time to ditch them before they stole me. Don't see much light at the end of the tunnel anymore.

But some 6 months ago it started saying "if an account associated with this email exists, a recovery email will be sent" or smthg like this. Nothing comes. I opened a new ticket and an agent said that "they don't have records associated w/ my email" anymore.

It's going to be one year in 5 days since @Dropbox shut down my account w/ no chance of explanation or support. They also seem to have deleted everything already, there is no sign of an existing account anymore related to my email address.👎

@retypefoundry There are great books bundled in The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records (Vol. 1 and 2) by @thirdmanrecords which reproduce all of their posters and ads. I tried to get both books separately but they only sell the boxes, which look great but are way too pricy for me!
@edsfault @panchitoborja @Dropbox And also note that there’s a constant for the disabled accounts: we were all 8 to 10 years Plus user clients. They aren’t doing this to new users nor to Business accounts. I do believe they got too big and this is a dirty, coward way of doing internal laundry.

The other day smthg weird happened, some of the locked files got back their file size filling my disk space, although I still couldn’t open any. I asked @dropbox about it, they didn’t reply of course.

I also heard of ppl saying they lost their account for over 2 years w/ no luck tho. People silence about it — have u seen or heard of anyone who recovered access?
