A few days ago, Manikumar (36) from Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, got trapped in the narrow rock passage known as Moksha Margam (Moksha road) on the southern path of Arunachala Giri in Tiruvannamalai. He suffered severe breathing problems and later died.

Now, just days after that tragedy, another incident has happened at the exact same spot. A woman from Andhra Pradesh got stuck in the same narrow alley, struggled to breathe, and was pulled out just in time by nearby devotees. This video shows how close it came to becoming another fatal accident.

Many people believe that crawling through this extremely tight rock gap gives them moksha — liberation from the cycle of birth and death. That is why it is called Moksha Margam.

This is only a local myth. There is no real connection between forcing your body through a narrow rock hole and attaining moksha. Moksha is a spiritual concept that comes from self-realization and inner transformation, not from a physical act of squeezing through a cave.
These repeated accidents prove how dangerous this belief has become.

30 billion tokens. 57,221 steps. 1.5B parameters. ~48 hours of H100 time across two clusters (one of which our own safety guard assassinated 90 seconds after the first finish — the resumed re-run reproduced the lost model to four decimal places).

Final report card, measured across ten registers of Tamil:
📜 Classical Sangam: 6.08 → 3.50
🕉️ Bhakti devotional: 6.66 → 3.67
📖 Literary prose: 4.69 → 2.87
🗞️ Modern formal: 4.52 → 2.69
Overall held-out loss: 4.61 → 2.84

The hard old registers — the reason this model exists — improved the most, all the way to the final step.

Every checkpoint integrity-verified. Three copies on three storage domains before the GPUs go quiet. ~$2.2K all-in, failures and forensics included.

It already completes the first Thirukkural from three words. Next: post-training, so it doesn't just continue Tamil — it converses in it. வளர்க தமிழ்🌱
