when you're sick all the time, people get tired of hearing about it. you want to communicate that you're in pain, to get a scrap of care/support, & you're met with annoyance. haven't we been through this? what can we do? nothing. but my body is failing me and i can't not cry out

@KayWCS @madrigalpress if you have empress 1908 gin, it's easy! i don't, so i added a tiny amt of concentrated butterfly pea flower tea. it'd be more proper if i'd made simple syrup with it instead, but no time for that right before the event! ☺️ the colour changes when adding lime / tonic water

second poem by me in @ZeroReadersMag ! fun fact: the title comes from how i can tell summer is ending by the increase in the number of spiders appearing in my home. i'm terrified of them but trying to work on more positive associations... same with my fear of endings 🕸️🕷️
