⚠️ This hedgehog was brought to Tiggywinkles after being found out during the day, struggling to move. As many of you know, seeing a hedgehog active in daylight is often a sign that something is seriously wrong.

An X-ray revealed the heartbreaking reason...

This little hedgehog had been shot with an air rifle. The pellet, clearly visible on the X-ray, had caused devastating internal injuries.

Despite our team's best efforts to help, the damage was simply too severe, and sadly this patient couldn’t be saved.

Every loss is difficult, but cases like this are particularly heartbreaking. Time and again, we see wild animals suffering because of deliberate acts of cruelty, and it is something that never becomes easier to witness.

Hedgehogs are one of Britain's most loved and increasingly vulnerable wild mammals. They deserve our protection - not our harm.

If you suspect that someone is deliberately harming wild animals, please report it to the police or your local wildlife crime officer.

This little hedgehog didn't get the second chance it deserved, but by raising awareness, we hope we can help prevent another animal from suffering the same fate.

Les propriétaires disent qu’il ne mange plus. En réalité, Ashura n’est plus que de l’os : 15 kg à peine, incapable de se lever seul.

Elle refuse de le laisser partir. Pendant des jours, elle l’aide à se lever, le nourrit, le soigne. Le chien, courageux et reconnaissant, reprend vite des forces. Il se lève seul, mange sans problème, reprend confiance.

Les semaines passent. Ashura passe de 15 à presque 30 kilos. Il rejoue, galope, suit sa sauveuse partout comme une colle.

What PC Harper went through was unimaginable, we can only hope he lost consciousness quickly. Letting his killers out after 6 and a half years is unimaginable too.

Police officers doing the job now, doing the Governments bidding listen to me.

I got bitten by a smack head, one of a number of occasions where I was assulted, I had to be tested for Aids and whatever else, that process took 6 months, 6 months of compromised physical contact with my family, every time I went to kiss my little girl goodnight I had to stop myself.

He got, I think £100.00 fine and some other meaningless bollocks that would of effected him in no way.

Obviously nothing in comparison to the horrific death of poor PC Harper but the message it tells you is the same.

You are doing the bidding of a Government and an organisation that couldn't give a fuck about you, you're sending people to court knowing that justice won't be served. You are, as far as crime is concerned NOT making a difference, you are providing a facade of law and order and putting your life at risk to do it.

Another extremely powerful video from @FelipeVeganKing. He’s right, anyone who isn’t feeling the same way most likely hasn’t seen the video or read about the torture in detail. Of course, there are some disgusting animal-cruelty sympathisers and psychopaths out there, but the vast majority of people are compassionate and empathetic.

It’s completely understandable if you’re unable to watch the video, but please at least read about what happened and understand the extent of the cruelty. The words “animal abuse” don’t even come close to capturing the depravity of what took place. Trust me when I say the Wang Wang movement happening right now is an underreaction.

Abscheulich grausam.
An einem Strand in Kuryk, Kasachstan, wurden Touristen gefilmt, wie sie eine wehrlose Robbe angriffen, um Fotos mit ihr zu machen.

Das Video zeigt, wie Männer die Robbe mit Stöcken und Steinen schlugen, bis sie bewusstlos wurde. Mehrere Personen sahen zu, ohne einzugreifen. Ein Augenzeuge berichtete, die Männer hätten die Robbe aus dem Wasser gezogen, damit Kinder Fotos machen und Spaß haben konnten.

Nach dem Fotoshooting warfen die Angreifer die Robbe zurück ins Meer, ohne zu prüfen, ob sie noch lebte. Die Aufnahmen haben in der Region große Empörung ausgelöst, insbesondere weil es bereits zuvor ähnliche Angriffe auf Wildtiere durch rücksichtslose Touristen gegeben hat.

Isabella was last seen around York Road Hartlepool area around 19.45 yesterday evening.

When Isabella was last seen, she was wearing an orange t shirt, black cycling shorts, black jacket and white trainers, she is 5ft 2, with black hair which is tied up.

Anyone who thinks they might have seen Isabella, or anyone who has any information, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 155025.

This 25-year-old bought kittens online, named every single one Shelly, then drowned them, mutilated them, decapitated them, and microwaved them for fun in his Chicago apartment. His girlfriend found the Snapchat video of a kitten still alive with the caption “Right before I murdered her.” He told her he had been killing cats since he was a kid.

He pleaded guilty to animal torture and aggravated cruelty. The judge gave him four and a half years. Illinois counted over a thousand days of electronic monitoring as time served, so he reported to prison and walked out the same damn day. Now he is back living in his family’s nearly million-dollar mansion in Northbrook on six months of supervised release.

This is not justice. This is a joke. Animal torture like that is a warning sign, and the system just handed him a free pass because his family has money and the laws are soft.

Monsters like this do not stop at cats.

Remember the name Thomas Martel. We will likely see his name in the headlines again.
