🔥 Energy industry profits hit £500 BILLION — while households freeze.

Since the energy crisis began in 2020, just 20 energy firms have made over half a trillion pounds in profit.
Meanwhile:

🔺 Energy bills are rising by 6.4% this week
🔺 Gas prices are up more than 10%
🔺 Standing charges remain unfairly high
❄️ Cold homes are making people sick and overwhelming the NHS

New research by the End Fuel Poverty Coalition shows that nearly £207bn of these profits come from firms deeply embedded in the gas industry — the same fossil fuels driving high prices and climate breakdown.

Even the companies maintaining the pipes and wires are profiteering.

This is a public health crisis, a climate emergency, and a failure of regulation.

💥 We need action:
•⁠ ⁠Reform our broken energy market
•⁠ ⁠Invest in homegrown renewable power
•⁠ ⁠Fully fund the £13.2bn Warm Homes Plan to improve energy efficiency

Energy should keep us safe and warm — not line the pockets of a few.
