@xKobly I agree, just because one individual enjoys more “meaningful” lyrics that doesn’t make them more intelligent or in touch with their emotions over others. I think a lot of us use music as an escape and don’t always need to dive into the meaning of the lyrics. #S22POPMUS

@BrittHanlon6 I absolutely agree, I also love the shift in the last few decades where it’s more focused on body positivity, and equality. The music industry can be used to shift the lens that society looks through and thus have a positive impact to listeners/viewers #S22POPMUS

I think “false needs” that were created from popular music could be excessive swearing, unrealistic body images, use of recreational drugs, etc. which I believe is a result from artists using music as a statement and in turn creating cultural norms. #S22POPMUS
