This is a video posted by an Ayurvedic surgeon on Instagram, where he shows his skill and government approved Ayurvedic surgery for lipoma (noncancerous, fatty lump) mostly removed for cosmetic purpose.

No anesthesia. No preventive antibiotics for infection control. He uses tools from his grandma's kitchen and rods from his grandpa's garage to cut and remove fat. The patient is burned raw and in pain.

Indian government has allowed pseudoscience practitioners and quacks in coats to legit torture patients in the name of ancient (original) "safer" treatments. If this was in a scientifically progressive country, this man would be in jail, whatever quack registration he has, burned, and ashes flown in the wind.

But this is India. It is a land of mediocrity. A nation of people happy with below average quality of life. A country where third-rate level atrocity is considered treatment.

It is a shame that third-rate practitioners are allowed to post such videos and sell themselves as "doctors/surgeons" on social media without repercussions while real doctors are getting beaten up on duty, catering to underserved populations.
