Kitty & Storm had a very similar relationship to Kitty & Wolverine, kid + "parental" figure, the problem is people ignore that Storm ultimately rejected that role, so she gets lumped into the "older" gen/role with Wolverine.

@Vegapunk212 I do think part of the problem is that Cap & Iron Man while solid B-listers weren't in the public consciousness the way S tier characters are until they got film adaptations so it's harder for general audiences to not accociate the them with the actors.

@umbralexi She didn't really need an outfit to be recognisable as Oracle, hell she's never seen so why would she have a set outfit.
The problem is they took away what was recognisable (the wheelchair) so they had to give her that shitty fit as something people will recognise in group shots.

It being Rachel would depend on execution because I don't want the "street level" spider-man movie to be used solely to set up Doomsday. If they keep her name reveal to a post credits-scene etc I'd be fine with it.

@DEAD_KRAKER @0raclelover I think it's a difference of, when Jason isn't there it's because the artist doesn't want them there. Whether that's because they prefer Red Hood the villain so don't include him or don't like him, it's intentional.
With the girls/Duke it's 50/50 the artist just forgot.

@vampyrobat Hell that could have been the source of conlict. Steph is 16/17 and trained/experienced already but Bruce is treating her the same way he treated the other 3 when they first became Robin, at 8-13 with little experience.

@babsessed I have a bad feeling that the third Jeff Lemire Robin & Batman book will be Robin(Dick) & Batgirl(Babs) or Batgirl(Babs) & Batman but I'm really holding out hope that it will explore Steph's time as Robin because it really is the least explored.

@babsessed Maybe if the Knightfall adaptation does well we'll get more, but I am afraid that them being movies means we'll only get the "big" stories so smaller stuff like Steph's origin/Steph in general will get left behind.

@babsessed One of the reasons I'm not too hot on animated Absolute & Caped Crusader is that I'd love an animated series that covered Batman's post crisis history (that maybe took the chance to clean up/impove certain aspects like Steph as Robin) instead of getting reimaginings all the time.

@comics_jeff My problem with it is it feels like they worked to this interpetation backwards.
Logan is into Jean but she rebuffs him maybe even dislikes him.
Makes Logan is kinda pathetic.
Logan becomes popular.
Popular cannot be pathetic so Jean was secretly into his advances the whole time.

@0raclelover I don't mind bright. I think the Grey, Blue & Yellow is her best Batgirl look. Though it might be the Black and Yellow is used to be "dark" post being crippled/healed which should never have happened in the first place she should have stayed as Oracle.
