@garybasin Not usually, no. But it's hard to say cause what exactly is 5.5 Pro anyway? Is it more params? Is it just longer test time compute? It's hard to get a sense of what it even is without access so it's far from properly marketed
Closed a bunch of tabs looking for one I recently opened, wondered why Chrome causes so much trouble by hiding tabs to the right, and discovered this downwards-arrow 'search tabs' icon. Nobody understands icons y'all... should have just put it as the last visible tab on the right
Couple examples (maybe they don't work out of context but in the Zuck pic he's making fun of Elon's 1-word replies by responding the same way.. Dorsey is responding to someone who said he took too long to reply)
Bezos redirecting disrespect towards his GF into a joke is top tier
@Noahpinion Lina Khan reacting to DeepSeek 1.5yrs ago by writing in the NYT that there's not enough competition among American tech firms is the ad absurdum example of how the movement had decayed into thought terminating cliches
@TaiKeid@NoahTopper Exactly
Just think of it in terms of money to make it less abstract .. if you start with $100 in your bank account and add $99 every day you’ll end up with way more than $0.03 after 365d
This was the insight that Jordan Walke et al who created React had anyway. That instead of saying class="selected" and then changing the attribute if someone unselects, you just change the prop . so React is already declarative like a template language and like PHP.
Invented something that borders the line between insanity and genius. Pt-SSR: Passthru React Server-Side Rendering.
The web app can be PHP or any other environment—no Nextjs needed. You just ask React to render components with props; the JS doesn't know about any DB or cookies
A major strand in 90s 'globalization' discourse was whether interconnectedness would homogenize everything or encourage subcultures to flourish.
Randomly came across this agenda for a 2002 MIT event describing this thinking
@moultano Yeah exactly
I don’t understand this dynamic where soenone will say “all brown people are dum lol”
And the target says “ok—Are you actually better than me?”
And then the first party gets shocked at the gall their target has to say okay if you want to compare let’s do it
Lea Seydoux "I never really wanted to become an actress, but I wanted to exist. The only way I found to exist was to have my image printed on a film & have the proof of my existence"✨
I get it…it's why we do many things. Every github sideproject is cause someone wanted to exist
Léa Seydoux on why she started acting:
“I’m going to tell you something very intimate,” she tells Variety’s @DPD_ in this week’s cover story. “The reason why I do this job ... I never really wanted to become an actress, but I wanted to exist. The only way I found to exist was to have my image printed on a film and have the proof of my existence.”

@Romy_Holland I created a format called Alphadec https://t.co/f8yqyFsAM5
It ignores the solar day and splits the UTC year from A0A0 to Z9Z9
So right now is 24 May midnight utc ~= 2026_K1W6
Spotify randomly (~or algorithmically so not exactly randomly) played Stevie Nicks 'Edge of Seventeen' which I'm not familiar with and I was like oh so Destiny's Child 'Bootylicious' sampled this
@Brien_Jackson There genuinely might just be differences in preferences though. Like consider fish. You can just lightly poach it in a pan and and salt and butter or you can put it in gumbo. The spice flavor profile is totally different
Liveclip now has widgets for RSS feeds and can check a collection of feeds in a table column
Therefore.. drumroll.. check your YouTube subscriptions inside ChatGPT!
Liveclip in ChatGPT… beautiful
I just said sort by likes and the LLM just called a table_sort tool .. no need for the AI to write ad-hoc code
I’m thinking of making this a open source MCP server so you can just run it on your localhost and have Claude Code, Codex etc use it
Searching all US Supreme Court opinions from 2010-2020 for keywords similar to ‘endangered fish’, and finding related cases. That’s a massive amount of text
Liveclip rocks 💫
