@sweeneyfiddle I suspect this is more about how people's brains work! I know that as a learner some explanations/demonstrations work and others don't, so maybe it's just a case of trying different methods 🤷🏻‍♀️

@squeezyjohn That sounds amazingly peaceful - my head is a riotus cacophony of thoughts, feelings, ideas and just general mess and anxiety. It's exhausting. Think you might have the better option there!

There's more chance that Julia Donaldson has done more to help literacy in this country than the billions of pounds spent on imposing systematic synthetic phonics and the phonics screening check on schools.

@squeezyjohn @Write_the_Write You have my sympathies, as my garden is the same. Huge amount of weeding necessary. Was free of bindweed until I got manure from a local horse charity...and now have the bloody stuff everywhere 😬
