Deep is not Steep

The deeper the pitch, the smaller the window for a loopy attack angle.

That doesn’t mean swing flat.

It means the barrel has to work more directly through the pitch, not under it.

Depth changes the angle.

These are two of the most common complaints I hear from coaches and parents about their Youth (& HS Players).⁠

Great coaching isn't just identifying a problem. Great coaching is identifying the problem, finding the root cause, and determine a viable solution. ⁠

If hitters are pulling their shoulder (or head) or stepping out, learn how to figure out what is causing them to pull their shoulder/head or step out. It's almost always a motor control/coordination/motor visual issue.
