Gary Sheffield used to say "All I need to do is make sure my front elbow gets straight"

Try it.. If it works for you, use it..

If not, keep exploring..

Misiorowski is a textbook example of letting the hips deliver the torso efficiently. This season, we’ve seen him stay more over his front side, helping create a balanced head and stacked shoulders at release. ⚾️

Deep is not Steep

The deeper the pitch, the smaller the window for a loopy attack angle.

That doesn’t mean swing flat.

It means the barrel has to work more directly through the pitch, not under it.

Depth changes the angle.

Look at his bat path and fast hands, no wonder the Nats loved what they saw

"Why do pitchers even need an assessment?"

"Can't you just tell what's wrong from a video of my mechanics?"

Not exactly.

We need to know what's going on underneath the hood to identify the root cause of these inefficiencies.
