Have a great day everyone... get outside, take some time for reflection, focus on the positives. Although we are all stuck in lockdown...Tomorrow is a new month and a new opportunity to start a fresh. #PositiveVibes#BeKind#February#lockdownlearning
If an ambulance is on its way and you're able to wear a mask - be sure to have one on when the crew arrive.
This helps to protect everyone. 😷
#StaySafe
We have a responsibility for each other to reduce the spread of #COVID19. It is really important that we stay at home, stay within our own areas and do what we can to limit and reduce the strain on local hospitals.
🏘️Stay home
🥾Stay local
😷Stay safe
Please help keep our communities and yourselves safe during national lockdown. We'll see you again soon. More info here: https://t.co/RpsDk09wAb
Apologies for the lack of updates over the past few months. Been busy working on the frontline vehicles down south. We are back in the north today and booked on #windermere#Cumbria#cfr#ecfr#volunteers#Lancashire
" Being a CFR is a great way to begin the journey to becoming a Paramedic. It's a great base to learn all of the key skills and gives you a big head start. I really enjoy helping the community whilst learning 'on the job' "
- Jonny (Windermere, Cumbria)

Did you know... of the 200 #ECFRs in the north west. Two of them are in the Windermere team and that number is soon to be three, ECFRs have an extended skills set that enables them to practice to a higher scope. #NWASCFRfacts#VolunteersWeek#volunteers#cfr#cumbria
@archivitis@timfarron 2/2 which can put them into harms way sometimes. There is no set algorithm for MH jobs; safety comes first. As a student paramedic we are trained in reducing risk and treating a variety of conditions and communication techniques. CFRs do not recieve the same training.
@archivitis@timfarron 1/2 I like your thinking. Ambulance services operate cars manned with a police officer, an MH nurse and a paramedic. This ensures the patient receives the best care and safety is put first for both clinicians and the patient. Volunteers often respond solo ...
Andrew sometimes responds in Windermere as well as in Ulverston. He gives so much of his spare time to volunteering to help others. Say hello if you see him around #CFR#ecfr#VolunteerWeek#volunteers#cumbria#Lancashire
"... I was raised to always help others ... as a CFR I can help local people in a way that really makes a difference in their lives. Whether that's life-saving CPR or a comforting, calming presence until an ambulance arrives."
- Andy (Ulverston, Cumbria)
#NationalVolunteersWeek
A huge nod and a massive thank you to all our @NWAmbulance volunteers during #NationalVolunteersWeek
We have almost 900 #CommunityFirstResponders across the North West who respond to patients in their own time. 👏

Community first responders (CFRs) have given almost 10,000 hours of support to us during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thank you so much - you are remarkable! 🤗❤️

1/2 A year ago I was in a very dark place. 5 lessons I learnt;
1. Friends and family are everything
2. Nothing bad ever lasts forever
3. Some days are good: some aren’t
4. Never give in.
5. Never stop dreaming #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek#mentalhealth
