@fmwales please follow suit with England otherwise thereβll be lots of lost jobs, a wide impact on local communities, outdoor centres closed for good and young people missing out on life changing experiences.

Some very welcome news - residential visits can resume from 17th May with schools able to book future trips, the Government has confirmed https://t.co/5XmE6D1zcK
So many people, organisations and companies benefit from #schooltrips. Schools are still unable to plan ahead @educationgovuk please give teachers the green light to plan trips for the future.

All your English schools are still waiting on the promised guidance for overnight trips from 17 May @GavinWilliamson@educationgovuk
With days left before trips can take place again, it's making any organisation incredibly hard for providers and schools alike.

Yes @saveoutdoored , if anything this lack of clarity is harming the industry in a different way. Centres and providers are in danger of looking foolish to clients. It's a case of: "Yes, we can open, but don't really know how"..... We need some clarity!
As the school day comes to an end - still no guidance for England.
@educationgovuk@GavinWilliamson what is your justification for leaving this so late? Could you plan a school trip in 8 working days?
This delay is incredibly difficult and cruel for centres, schools and children

Please can you follow & retweet @saveoutdoored Residential outdoor centres which are vital educational resources have been closed since March 2020 and they are campaigning hard to make sure they survive & that @GavinWilliamson gives guidance on school trips. Please support them.
6 months ago I submitted my masters dissertation on the impact of outdoor education on children's wellbeing.
Improving children's wellbeing is so massively important, especially now and we NEED things like outdoor education and physical activity to do it #saveoutdoored
Just don't understand this delay when all other sectors of the economy have been given guidance on reopening their doors. Outdoor Education contributes so much to the country and provides real, tangible benefits to society. #saveoutdoored
Guidance on school trips has not been changed today.
@GavinWilliamson has let our industry down again.
We said that if this deadline is missed legal action will be taken. Watch this space for the next stage of our campaign, and how you can help.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported our campaign, we're a long way from the finish line, but it's great to know you're all out there helping us do all we can to #SaveOutdoorEd
It should be a busy time for outdoor education centres, but they remain closed. @itvanglia highlights the important stories of centres in the East of England and their calls for clarity around reopening. Watch here: https://t.co/ssw3EiRgxj
Today is a HUGE day for Outdoor Education. We are all desperate to hear from @educationgovuk on when our industry can reopen. Pretty much all other areas of the economy have some roadmap reopening dates to allow them to start planning, we need the same information. #SaveOutdoorEd
