High blood glucose really is a killer. I'm glad to see this new publication that highlights the connection between type 2 diabetes and infections (https://t.co/ZQ3kshOgM2).
High glucose creates a host of problems, but I'll highlight two:
1. It stimulates insulin release. Insulin is an essential hormone for human health, but too much of a good thing becomes pathogenic. The more we spike glucose, the more we spike insulin. The more insulin is spiked, the more we become insulin resistant. Once this happens, the risk of every chronic disease spikes.
2. In the context of this study (and T2DM), high glucose feeds infections. If you look at the macronutrients we eat and what nutrients bacteria (the substance of the infection) eat, it all comes to glucose. Bacteria don't eat fats. Bacteria don't eat protein (or amino acids). They eat glucose. This is why people with T2DM are so much more prone to infections.
Now, what to do about it? Rather than take some drug that pushes the glucose out of your blood, just put less glucose into your blood. Control carbs.
Why do we buy into the aging narrative that getting older automatically means frailty and reduced function?
This is a product of the modern sedentary lifestyle and high inflammatory and nutrient-poor diet.
Invest in your older self today with the right lifestyle changes.
Scientists will always disagree about the amount of meat/fish/eggs we need in our diet.
But any scientist who tells you a diet completely free of ALL meat and animal products is HEALTHIER has ZERO credibility and likely driven by an agenda other than science.
Three reaons why eating meat give you a long & strong life:
1. It has ALL the amino acids you need (unlike plants)
2. It is rich in micronutrients your body can absorb easily
3. It has ZERO anti-nutrients

Issues we can all agree on in 2025:
- Obesity isn’t genetic
- Alcohol isn't healthy
- Fruit doesn't make you fat
- Eggs are healthy
- Meat is healthy
- Vegetables are healthy
- Humans are omnivores
- EVOO > seed oils
You do realize that there Was a time when people had to kill and process every animal they ate, and they killed and ate animals all the time, right?
What you actually saying is that society has become rather immature and irrational (at least your audience has), and I agree with that.
What do the most addicting foods have in common?
-pizza, fries, ice cream
-potato chips, donuts, cookies
-Mac n cheese and chocolate
They are a combo of high fat and high carb and chemically engineered to hijack your brain and taste buds. Here's what you can do to break free in 2025:
This is fantastic. Diabetes type 2 can be reversed with better foods (avoiding energy toxicity e.g. too many carbs) and Dr. Unwin has demonstrated it 150 times in his clinic!
Legendary and now on TV🙌
If you are new to the carnivore diet, don't even worry about ketosis. Keep it simple. Just eat! Tweaks can come later. See my profile for my free carnivore guide.
Three health goals for 2025:
1. Eat animal protein every day
2. Lift weights at least once weekly (choose bodyweight/machine/free)
3. Eat ‘differently’ to everyone else most of the time

If you're over 30...chances are your aerobic and muscular fitness has already peaked!
But it doesn't need to be downhill from there.
By stimulating your muscles, heart, and lungs you can delay 'ageing' and stay in great shape for your age 💪
The term ‘plant-based’ is misleading:
1. Plants are NOT more nutritious than animal products
2. Plants are not 'safer' to eat than animal products
3. The label ‘plant-based’ doesn't make foods healthier...especially if it's in a package with lots of ingredients!
The best type of exercise to strengthen your body and optimise your metabolism is:
1. Exercise that includes lifting
2. Exercise that is done regularly and consistently
The most important thing is to START

Simplicity sails, and complexity fails.
Opt for simple recipes and a low range of exercises.
Keeping it simple leads to consistency!
Sometimes, being boring works!
