A lot of the problem is that folk don't realise quite how fast they'd need to run the entire 800m (28kph) or how distant the target is in the archery (70 meters).
Most could probably be tennis champions though where the furthest they have to run or hit is a few meters :)

@M_Hartl Not good cycling. All you needed to do was anticipate and slow a fraction. I would never needlessly put myself in that dangerous position.
The good news is that the Meadows to George Street plans will provide much more than paint which will give other cyclists more confidence.

I've just received an email from @GoZwift saying that my annual price will increase by £50 to £179.99. Ouch!
Although I use Zwift every few days that's still probably too much for me.

Was chatting with a friend about how weird the Leith Walk cycleway was last night then came across scaffolding blocking it.
Yes "they can just mount the pavement to go around it" but why are different blockages acceptable for different road users?

Got back from a lovely run and chatted with the wife about replenishing my electrolytes.
"Jesus is a good source of salt" she said.
As she's a biblical scholar I was intrigued but didn't quite follow.
"Water of life?"
"Salt of the earth?"
It turns out she said "Cheese is..."
