At @EticaAI we're working hard to prepare information and mentorship on #CPLP (Portuguese speaking countries; from Angola to Timor-Leste) to potential long-term #AIEthics promoters.

@mapwithrapid@thughes@openstreetmap I opened a issue on https://t.co/ahsEV2cy4v .
And I'm sorry to say, but the valid cases where the recommendation to "delete buildings to add then in next changeset" are exception.
Please go on that PR and cite real case examples of "demolished buildings"
@SHLglobal I did not found more specific contact form to this kind of issue #usability issue on https://t.co/KuQs1hSuod, so I had to submit as generic support. I done this at the 02988621.
Please redirect that feedback to who works in this part. Thanks!
@SHLglobal hello SHL. How do I report a #usability issue in the workflow?
The contact point likely will be the same internal team who work with #accessibility.
I attempted with generic support to redirect the feedback.
Thanks!
The Tripitaka Koreana - carved on 81258 woodblocks in the 13th century - is the most successful large data transfer over time yet achieved by humankind. 52 million characters of information, transmitted over nearly 8 centuries with zero data loss - an unequalled achievement. 1/
On Friday's #WorldHumanitarianDay, we remember our 22 colleagues who lost their lives when the UN in Baghdad was bombed in 2003.
Today and every day, we thank the brave humanitarians who risk their lives to make the world a better place for everyone.
6/6 By the way, how's our pending process to join HDX, @humdata?
We're the ones without an answer of "why is not #humdata", despite the VERY SAME data from our region, Latin America, being republished by Global North organizations later.
We don't forget. Patience have limit.
1/? For the record: I still 100% recommend the original book (or other podcasts with neutral hosts) than @humdata (which is supposed to lead data exchange, but still criticized as IGO).
#Solferino21 is great. But #AIEthics is historically full of self-regulation manipulation
So good to have a leisurely conversation with @stucampo about the key themes of #Solferino21
Please listen if you have 60mins - still quicker than reading the book! 👇
5/? Ethicists such as Hugo, even if literally from the UK, make clear disclosures in his book when speaking for the South.
However @humdata approach still clearly self-servicing (as IGO), anti-local, insisting with #EthicsWashing to boycott even UN OCHA foundations; A/RES/46/182
Language & memetics is just "software" running on an ape OS (to use a computer metaphor). Humans fundamental motivations are those of cognitive social animals. This is why I'm grateful to the people who have helped move #HumanRights & law into the core of #AIEthics practice. 4/5
@humdata The Humanitarian Data Exchange FAQ page still lacks this: a contact point for complain and/or ombudsman.
When will it be implemented?
The current contact points, if asked where to complain, refuse to give guidance on both datasets and organizations not allowed. #humdata
and since I care so much about diversity I should care about how to accommodate people like her.
But then again she should go because "all the problems originate from there."
And then thanked me for listening as I was frozen and couldn't get words out.
Ladies and gentlemen: #ComplexEmergency BINGO!

Is this humanitarian need enough to dashboard outside Europe with the HDX #humdata, Centre of Data (@humdata)?
If you don't, others will have to do it
The #Ukraine humanitarian data explorer is great. Congrats. Are you able to something like this for #Tigray too? Should be a much easier job as not much aid going in and very few agencies there due to access issues. But visualisation and baseline would be helpful
@AwRobleh Hey, Robleh, your Direct Messages are not open (but mine are). Message me if you want to know more!
There's a private place on Twitter on humanitarian research, and I think there still missing diversity from the Horn of Africa.
Weeks ago @mukeshkapila asked something with should be simpler to @humdata (and is 1 of 4 of "System-wide Scale-up Responses"). No action done.
And no "#DataResponsibility" (sic) could be argued against show at least the humanitarian #blockade used to starve people to death

Changing the name for sake of signaling changes without de facto improving the underlying concept is... meaninglessness.
Burying the head in sand to evade reality of obvious own role is one of the last things associated with respect need to lead even basics.
