@SkyeSharkie Not true. Very few people intend to sleep through their high. It’s considered a waste of the time spent to obtain drugs and a waste of the drugs to fall asleep after using. Most of these folks are so chronically sleep deprived that they can sleep in uncomfortable spaces.
@SkyeSharkie and 3) they TRY to remain standing after smoking or injecting because sleeping through your high (by laying down or sitting) is a waste of a high. That said, laws against sitting and lying down are fucked up and we need more spaces for these folks to comfortably rest.
@SkyeSharkie As a nurse who works with predominantly substance users, I can say with total confidence that this isn’t true. People have this stance because they: 1) smoke fentanyl while standing up, and develop this posture from the high, 2) inject fentanyl and stand up shortly afterwards…
i often think of when a sociology prof at my university taught a whole lecture while wearing his fur suit, and he walked into my statistics class and waved to everyone after my prof gave him a concerned look. that guy was awesome. i wish he didn’t get fired.
It is very funny to me that my eGFR was sitting in the 50’s for like a year and now I'm at 94 with the only difference being horrible lifestyle changes.
