Trauma doesn't make people stronger. It damages their nervous system. It hijacks their digestive track. It keeps the person in a constant loop of hypervigilance. To tell someone they are stronger because of trauma is to deny what it has cost them to survive.
HRM is under water, we’re in the 5th hour of an electrical storm & police are asking ppl to avoid travel. Yet 100s of people staying in tents - our neighbours - have nowhere safe to go. Tents are not safe shelter & they are not homes. Housing is a human right.

#BellLetsTalk is cynical, hypocritical, opportunistic, and preys upon people with actual problems in order to increase "good will" for the corporation.
