Venting the frustrations of herding 10 Mini & Junior rugby squads. Level 2 Coach. Mixed ability. Should be old enough to know better. Not to be taken seriously.
U8s Game Coach (ref) on getting some verbal from a parent, saunters over and, in a stage whisper’ says, “I’m managing 12 children, I really don’t want to deal with a 13th”.

@malc150 @denny_robert@unicawn@farmerandy3231 Silly cowardly boy, who blocks and then comments. You are the original, sad, childish troll who has nothing positive to give to Twitter never mind the world at large. Grow up and find something worthwhile to do with your sad life.
Booked 2 boys in for a half term treat @TheWaveBristol. Arrive on time but not told of 10 minute walk due to unfinished site so because we’re “late” the boys have missed their 2hr session. A refund doesn’t cover disappointment or 3hr round trip.
Poor inflexible business strategy
I remember as a 6yr old boy watching this try at home with my dad. It was my first ever memory of watching rugby. This Saturday 42yrs on I will be sat with my dad again watching Scotland v Wales at @MynyddcerrigW hoping for a similar try to cheer. #cantwait 🏉 🏴
A very private moment. After losing a shoe, on his way to find his second horse, this young Whip passed a War Memorial. His impeccable response was to pause, remove his hat, bow his head in silent respect.
If anyone can find a better & more poignant image I'll shed the same tears
@1GarethWynJones@awedgewood Gentlemen, that’s proper rugby banter. Thanks for keeping it all in perspective, it’s what defines our great game and the rivalry between the countries. A great test match won by the better team. Well played Wales. BUGGER!
“Friday night lights”, sounds exciting, near glamorous doesn’t it? NO, for a ref it’s a ‘mare, especially if you’re playing under candlelight on the 4th’s Pitch, which is without a blade of grass or a white line. Tell me how you’re supposed to see what’s happening in the ruck?!
@gregoryjh@MumbrianSpinner I think the research says warming the body and mind up is good but stretching does not help. I agree that a warm down is a good thing but too often a paid to the bar is the best I can manage.
Agreed to ref an U16 game at the last moment. Thought it would be a gentle stretch of the legs. In the first 10 minutes, I only blew for the KO and 3 tries. 10 perfect mins of rugby (I was desperate to find fault!) and I was knackered. The rest of the game was quieter but fast.
@geoffberkeleyWN It takes a class side to comeback and win like that and you can be sure of it when they’ve chased down the win, under real pressure, in the last 3 matches. Class act!
Great morning at Chaddesley Corbett RFC Minis with Bromsgrove, Bromyard and Stourbridge Minis all having a great time at a lovely club. Get down there and give CCRFC your support, they are the epitome of what a Mini rugby club should be. #KidsFirst
