Imran Khan is Isolated!

Over the past 8 months, Imran Khan has been subjected to increasing isolation in Adiala Jail.

1. Imran Khan has not been allowed to speak to his sons for the past six months, despite jail regulations allowing weekly calls. This continued denial is both inhumane and unlawful.
2. Over the past month, the jail authorities have refused to provide him the books we submitted , a clear attempt to cut him off intellectually and spiritually.
3. For the past eight months, as head of the largest political party in Pakistan, Imran Khan has been barred from meeting his party members. He is being denied his constitutional right to political consultation and leadership.
4. Imran Khan has been denied proper access to his legal team for several weeks. On Tuesday, July 1, his lawyer Zaheer Abbas was granted only 95 seconds to consult with him , an utter mockery of due process.
5. Our family has been blocked from meeting Imran Khan for several months. For the past three months, my sisters and I arrive at Adiala, only to be stopped several kilometers before the prison by Punjab Police. Volunteers stand with us at these roadblocks. We then walk 1.5 km to the next blockade. After hours of waiting, only Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi are allowed to briefly see their brother. What used to be a half-hour visit has now been reduced to just 15 minutes , for the past four Tuesdays.
6. For the past ten months, Imran Khan’s doctors ( Dr. Faisal Sultan and Dr. Aasim Yusaf ) have not been allowed to examine him. His health is being put at risk by the continued denial of essential medical care.

We have been told that this extreme isolation is being enforced on the instructions of Maryam Nawaz, not the colonel controlling Adiala. The jail lies in Punjab, where a 17-seat PML-N government is so fearful that it has blocked all access to Imran Khan. They fear any information going in or coming out.

Insha’Allah, we will continue to bring out Imran Khan’s complete message until he is freed from this illegal incarceration and once again leads his people.

6 young men have died of Hepatitis at Kot Lakhpat Jail. If Hepatitis has spread in the jail due to the negligence of the authorities in charge, that needs to be questioned and probed… However ALL six men are PTI workers who are illegally imprisoned there. This needs to be raised at the highest of forums. On both accounts the Government of Punjab needs to be taken to task. @UNHumanRights @hrw @amnesty @amnistia

ریاستی فسطائیت ایک اور معصوم جان نگل گئی ، جہاں ایک طرف ریاست نے پرامن مظاہرین پر سیدھی گولیاں چلا کر معصوم شہریوں کی جانیں لیں دوسری طرف 9مئی کے جھوٹے کیسز میں جیلوں میں قید تحریک انصاف کے ورکرز ساتھ انسانیت سوز سلوک کے ذریعے ان کی زندگیوں سے کھیلا گیا، رہائی کے بعد بیشتر ورکرز مہلک بیماریوں کا شکار ہوئے جن میں سے ایک افتخار جو ہیپاٹائٹس جیسے مہلک مرض کا شکار تھا آج جان کی بازی ہار گیا۔

Imran Khan is being held in 22–23 hours of solitary confinement daily — a blatant violation of all prison rules and human rights.
It has now been revealed that he has lost a significant amount of weight. This is deeply alarming and raises serious concerns for his health and safety.
Over the past two years in custody, he has not faced such harsh conditions or had such weight loss. This level of inhumane treatment is unacceptable and unlawful.
We must raise our voices and demand immediate action. His personal doctors must be allowed to assess him without delay!
